hello hello, i dunno what happened but my laptop won’t turn on no matter what i do even when chargers and batteries are swapped, so progress and sillies are on hold until further notice. i’m gonna ask my uncle if he can figure it out but if not i’m gonna have to replace it, so, uh. we’ll see

weirdest thing is that it was perfectly fine at 9pm then at 9am it was just dead, nothing changed from the normal way i put it away and such which is weird

edit: i’ve had this laptop for 4-5 years, don’t usually turn it off when i’m not using it (i just close the lid) and i think what happened is that the fan failed in the middle of the night causing it to overheat and damaging the motherboard. gonna pop it open today with my grandpa to see if that’s actually the issue and take a look at what parts i need to order. worst case scenario if the storage got damaged at all (which most people i’ve asked don’t think it would be) data recovery services are pretty damn good so that shouldn’t be too hard. the biggest concern is price, i have enough money saved up but i don’t have a job so i’m gonna have to see how much of a hit this’ll be on my bank account, estimating around $500-600. here’s hoping i can fix it soon

Reiker: Let's try a nicer one… Oh, here! "Does Yanshu plan on making anything for you?"

Reiker: Well, I don’t expect her to give me a gift, but… Do you, Yanshu? You seem very creative.

Yanshu: Uh… Do you want anything? I would like to repay you somehow…

Reiker: I can't really think of anything right now, but you did say you’d introduce me to Flash sometime, didn’t you? I’d love to meet him!

Yanshu: O-oh, um… Yeah! I could do that! I’ll be sure to bring him over next time I stop by. I think that would be good for him.

Yanshu: Maybe I can check my scrap pile to see what I can put together…

Yanshu: So… What's with the camera?

Reiker: Oh, I'm answering peoples' questions on this blog thing. There seems to be some for you, too!

Yanshu: For... Me...?

Yanshu: Oh, that's cute! Um... Do you want me to answer...?

Reiker: Go ahead!

Yanshu: Let me see… "Is Yanshu planning any more evil sche"-

Yanshu: … H-hey, I'm not-!

Reiker: Ooh, um… Guess I need to weed through some of these…

Yanshu: .........

We posted this to the community a few days ago but i wanted to post it here for a larger audience to see!

Reiker: Oh, this one must be from a juror in my last case. How sweet!

Reiker: Well, Eggman said there aren't any more cases right now, so I'm just getting my office set up! Sure, only 3 of these binders have any files in them, but-

Yanshu: Um… Mr. Strait?

Reiker: Oh, Yanshu! We were just talking about you. What are you doing here?

Reiker: … You're not involved in another case, are you?

Yanshu: "We"...?

Yanshu: N-no, no! I'm, uh... Finishing up some paperwork. A-about the court case! Confirming that the charges have been dropped and whatnot.

Yanshu: I never expected a man like Dr. Robotnik to be so bureaucratic, but um… He wanted me to speak with you for the last section here, have you sign a few things.

Reiker: Oh, yeah, sure! Just gimme just one second.

Reiker: How've you been, by the way? Do you like my new office?

Yanshu: Oh, I'm fine, I suppose, just... Tired. S-still a little shaky... Been running some tests on Flash to make 100% sure he's running properly.

Yanshu: It's very bright in here, and… H-high…

Reiker: I know, right? You should come onto the balcony, you can see the whole city from up here!

Yanshu: Right! R-… Right, I'd love to, b-but, um… The paperwork! Y-yeah, I, uh… Don't want to forget…

Reiker: Oh! Sorry, let me just turn this thing off-

Hey guys, coming back to you with some more Crowd Research!

As i finetune the path this project will take, i want to have a better idea of what Cayde and I should focus on in order to make it flow easiest. I'll admit ive had... alot of ideas when it comes to Eggs Attorney and its cases, but i figured I'd see what you guys find the most interesting

Reiker: Uh… Is this thing on right?

Reiker: ... Oh!

As the new public defense attorney of Sunnyside… And apparently the only law official in the capital… I've decided to come onto the EggNet to talk about the inner workings of our justice system! Reiker: So, you wanted to see me again?

Reiker: [Ahem] … Sir?

Eggman: Well, I figured I should congratulate you on passing my little test. I believe you have what it takes to become a proper defense attorney.

Reiker: T-… Test? Do you mean winning the court case?

Eggman: Mr. Strait, did you really think that a proper court session would be that cut and dry?

Reiker: What? Well, I mean… Sure, I thought Mr. Bolton's guilt was obvious, but that's more on him than me, isn't it?

Eggman: You see, I knew he was guilty from the start. There's no way that mole girl could have done it. She couldn't bear to leave a single scratch on a Motobug if its eyes glinted at her the right way, much less a fully autonomous Robian.

Eggman: This court session was a test to see if you could prove her innocence without resorting to blind accusations.

Hey hey all! Just wanted to make another update since i know weve been a lil quiet recently,

First off, just wanna mention we've got the script for Case 2 officially finished!

Coming in at 16k words, this is over Double the length of Case 1! This case will be adding Investigation Sequences to the Mix, and will be split across two in-universe days!

Also, we're very close to getting the Epilogue out!

We're mainly just working on a new background for it, its just that cayde's been coming down with a sickness. We hope to get it out within the next week tho :3

the people who responded and left tags and stuff seemed to be having so much fun and it was nice making something for y'all to enjoy! me and bran learned a lot about how we want to approach this in the future (i already have a little list of improvements i want to make to streamline production), so stay tuned for case 2, more info on that coming soon!

Reiker: How could I show you the murder weapon when you're already holding it!?

Axel: W-w-what? You mean this h-hunk'a junk? I mean… C'mon, it's broke! It can't do anything!

Reiker: You're right. It can't do anything now, because you broke it when you drilled out the strip screws inside of Flash!

Axel: Oh, this is ridiculous! You really believe this guy over me, Eggy?

Eggman: Do you have a rebuttal as to how this drill was compromised?

Axel: I… I-I mean… It just broke! You know how flimsy these things are! One little knock and somethin' in there comes loose!

Reiker: When you consider the maintenance appointment and the murder together, it all makes sense.

Reiker: Axel seemed to have this planned out ever since he saw the components Yanshu made for Flash.

Reiker: First he tried to remove them with his own tools, and when that didn't work, he stuck his tracker onto Flash before Yanshu came back in the room.

Reiker: Once she left for the day, he stole her tracker to frame her for the crime, grabbed his drill, and went after the victim!

Axel: I-… You! You don't have proof!

Eggman: Number 5, hm…?

Eggman: Have anything else you'd like to confess, Mr. Bolton?

Axel: … You know what, doc? I think I do.
