People used to comment on web comics.

People used to comment on fanfiction.

People used to comment on fanart.

People used to comment on OCs.

I hate "content" culture.

I hate "consuming content" and scrolling immediately to the next thing.

People used to be excited about the art that other people created.

People used to want to share that excitement with creators.

I hate this future.

Once someone tagged art that I made with "woah" and I think about it at least once a week. Someone else said "oh neat" once. Someone else WROTE A WHOLE DAMN POEM IN THE COMMENTS. Anyways even just one word can change how someone sees their art. You don't even have to think about it too hard. You could put a keyboard smash and I'd probably cry from joy.

I'm also trying hard to interact more, I understand that it's hard to break away from opening your phone and being in Content Consumption Mode.

I honestly hadn't stopped to think about this until I saw this post... I used to think people would get annoyed if they were notified everytime someone posted a comment on their art. I never thought about it being like fanfiction and that they might appreciate comments. Frick, that means I'm part of the problem on here. Thats gotta change.

Every tag, every comment, every reblog with some kind of reaction/opinion or even just one word. All of these things are precious to creators!

I spent countless hours reading and rereading tags full of love people left under my art. All the people i could gift a laugh to or even inspire with something I made mean more to me then you could ever know.

It's what makes me proud of my art!

And to think that you could have enjoyed my art in silence and I would have never known.

A very special shout out to the person who tagged "these mcgriddles make me want to shit so bad" on fanart in 2013 I think about you once a day

every day i think about how wild vaporeon would live mostly in the water but come to shore to have their pups (eevee), and then would probably groom their pups in a special way to trap air bubbles in their soft fur to make them more bouyant so they can float unaided on the water. and then as soon as the eevee have control of their little legs they're being taught how to swim, so you could come to a lake at a certain time of year ans see a vaporeon swimming around with a tiny soaked eevee paddling along behind it like

hey @molabuddy this was such a cute mental image that wanted to try and draw it :D

ANOther WIP

my first ever comic I ever tried to work on: Saltberg

Eddie is a sophomore in rural west Texas town called Saltberg. Saltberg, a town with a population of 1,642 and counting, where everyone knows everyone's business and people avoid the outskirts after dark. He's just trying to survive being a highschool loser until he graduates and moves away from the Podunk little town that he's known all his life, when he learns he isn't as human as he thought. There's a supernatural war on the brink of boiling over in Saltberg and it seems like no one's escaping this one unscathed.

Once I finish my superhero comic I'll revisit this wip but for now more concept art ahhaha

Character Line Up

Eddie and Buddy as kids! :}

and it was originally Saltberg, Utah (i've since changed it to Texas)

The incident where Eddie got his scar!

and my attempt number seven to try and rough draft my comic

The Descent: RPG

For a short period of time, I started working on a video game. It was very inspired by my love for undertale and rpgs in general.

The concept was essentially that you were a small child that wakes up in a world where it's forever autumn and you progress through the game by freeing each of the other seasons being imprisoned by the season of Autumn. It was fun and i'm sure one day i'll revisit the concept once I get through my other projects but for now, here's some of the art I made for it!

Protag Walk Cycle

Character Line Up

Crowley, Ted Longhorn, The Protag, Mr. Straweman, Winter, and Fall

Crowley profile

The Moth(er) (she's the queen of bugs)

The bastard himself,, Autumn

She was silenced by the blare of the recorded trumpets through invisible overhead speakers. She ducked at the sound, eyes widening, as the short melody faded. At the last trill of the horns, a majestic voice boomed through the ball room.

"Please welcome to the 126th Annual Ball of the Eastern Commonwealth, a personal guest of His Imperial Majesty: Linh Cinder of New Beijing."

for the longest time, I felt a lot of shame anytime I posted any art on the internet because none of it ever felt good enough, especially if it was fan art for something I loved. but like, as time passes and I get older I realize that like 1. things are only embarrassing if you find them embarrassing. and 2. that I wanna share my art with the world regardless of if anyone else likes it, that way it doesn't just stay in the confines of my computer where no one will ever see it but me

I can’t draw very well and hated that I couldn’t draw my DnD character, a tabaxi cleric named Merry Thing, but then I remembered I’m pretty good with a needle and thread so I made her

All made by hand, hand embroidered details, and I even crocheted the lace trim on her shift!

some fanart,,, @diddlysquash I love all the embroidery on Merry Thing's clothes, its so pretty <3

guy with 60hz monitor: i am enjoying playing this game

guy with 240hz monitor: Honestly if you were to conceive of the most efficient possible torture in terms of purely causing agony for as long as possible and also have your firstborn son killed in front of you during the torture it would not even be a tenth as bad as playing a game at 60 fps

Guy with a laptop: Yeah I'm happy if it runs at 20 fps
