YOU CAN HELP A PALESTINIAN FAMILY!!!!

Tareq El-Bawab is a software engineer. He is trying to get his family and himself out of Gaza.

You can read more on his gofundme, or on his Instagram, @/tareqelbawab !

His goal is $30,000, but even with $10,000 he can safely evacuate his children.

Please, PLEASE spread this. Donate!!! I've been speaking with Tareq, he and his family are incredibly hopeful, and I want to extend that hope and help it grow until they hit their goal and can safely escape Gaza.

Every little donation helps, even just $5. I know his goal is achievable, we can come together and help him. Please spread this around if you cannot donate, reblog, post on other platforms, anything you can do to help Tareq and his family. I've made the image below so you can easily screenshot it and post to other platforms to spread awareness. Thank you guys so much.

Hi everyone!

I noticed how many people said they were interested in a discord bsg server. That's still in the works, but for now, I made a community! I had noticed there weren't any specific ones just for yapping about bsg, so that's what it is! It's public, anyone can join, so feel free to head over!

If you're joining, please just be sure to read the pinned post and follow the guidelines! Other than that, any and everyone is welcome!

God and his devotees.

(Yeah, I’m in my death note obsession phase. Again.)

I love battlestar galactica so so much, but my one major critique is the latter half of season 4 feels a bit rushed?

Maybe rushed isn't the right word, but what I mean is that it's so heavily focused on the few main characters that other things that should've been bigger deals were either very downplayed or never brought up again.

For example- and yes I know I'm biased- but Felix. He was shot. No one wondered why, no one asked by who. He began a whole mutiny that almost succeeded. After being one of the greatest members of the fleet, he is executed and is never brought up again.

Dee killed herself. She was also a beloved member of fleet and added such value. And she killed herself. Her death is mourned for about one episode, and then she's hardly ever brought up again, if ever.

I know these are "side" characters, and in any other show we'd normally focus much more heavily on the main characters (Adama, Roslin, the cylons, etc.) and yes I know that I'm very biased because Felix is my favorite character. But it's like!!! These other characters contributed so much through the whole show, and then once they tragically die it's almost like they never existed. Of course I know the show was wrapping up and we can't spend whole episodes focused on side characters who have passed. But I wish they were brought up once and a while after they're gone.

I just have one tiny tweak I wanna make to that last scene. Otherwise no notes, A+ game.

[image description: A five-panel comic shows a ginger cat walking out of a dark, overgrown alley and up some mossy stairs into the sunlight. The small drone the cat is carrying in its mouth gleams in the sun. After reaching the top of the stairs, the cat places the drone onto the mossy ground and sits beside it, looking up at the sun in the sky.]

sobbing over the humanity of the robots in Stray. they listen to music. they play dungeons & dragons. they have barber shops and bars and play the guitar and write poetry. they get heart eyes when a cat purrs against their legs. there are robot children! robot grandparents! they like comfy pillows and candles and warm blankets and they grow plants in a city that has never seen sunlight! they’re human and they’re not and there’s no humans left and they’re alive. ahhhhhhh

So:

Felix Gaeta is one of the best members of the fleet. Always does what he's told, always tries to do the right thing. Saved the fleet MULTIPLE times. Remember when everyone got back from New Caprica safely because of Felix? And remember when he almost got killed for that?

He helped in so many ways. Truly a vital crew member. He always followed orders. And on the Demetrius, he was shot for it. Having Helo promise that he wouldn't lose his leg, he does, and he's awake for it. Shortly after he learns that the "Earth" they had been looking for for so long was a complete wasteland, and after that? His best friend kills herself seconds after he's done talking to her.

After all this tragedy, he gets manipulated by Zarek to start a mutiny and overthrow Adama, mainly because the person he once respected so much is now starting an alliance with the enemy- something he was almost killed for previously (with no apology.) And remember, Felix never wanted to kill anyone. He didn't want death or blood on his hands. Zarek was the one who ordered all the killing. The only thing Felix did was finally order Adama to be executed, with tears in his eyes. And Zarek was the one who manipulated Felix into doing that, too.

But after all that, after being such a dedicated and respectful lieutenant, after everything he went through, after being manipulated, he gets executed. No questions asked, no trial. And doesn't get put up on the memorial wall. Felix deserved so, so much more than what he got.
