oh thank god for the ui update i was jsut thinking that WAY too much space in the ui is devoted to the conent of the posts (the thing i come to the website for) im so glad that those upstart Posts are finally getting overshadowed by their rightful overlords, the real stars of the show, icons and urls,

Some jaguar studies since Zora's able to turn into one. It's interesting to figure out their lil details. Bonus Meszahi because I saw a fun photo and used it as ref. Jaguars are so squishy.

Ollie loves to have the bases of his ears massaged with my thumbs and whenever I do it for him his eyes close and pushes so hard into it that he has to brace with his legs to avoid falling over and he purrs, and every time I do it I think about how he can’t do that for himself on his own, and how wonderful and strange it is that our two species happened to evolve in a way that allowed a bread loaf-sized obligate carnivore capable of receiving the most satisfying ear rub imaginable, but only from a giant omnivorous ape

This single frame (and the entire Room of Tears scene really) refuses to leave my brain, I just had to get it out of my system.

Edward Berger and co I hope you know y'all really cooked with this shot. The symbolism in the mise-en-scene? The lamp and the crucifix? Light and shadow and the way the characters are blocked? The callback to their first meeting, the contrast in colour and temperature? I feel unwell.

Best use of red since Wong Kar Wai's In the Mood for Love. Cinema is so back.
