World's most famous crook

"No offense taken, for I don't trust you either. I do believe you are not familiar with fairies, since this Island has pixies, so I will inform you of a few things. My kind despise lies and don't offer one. You don't need to believe my words but in due time you might be able to see it." Maleficent replied. And of course that was the extent of the nature that she would reveal. She had to keep a few tricks up her sleeve after all. Not to mention that, yes she did not lie, but that didn't mean she wouldn't say half truths.

"Now, as for the plan you asked.... I must find a way to gain some acess to the magic of the island. What would you say is 'exclusive' to this place?"

James listened carefully, whilst stretching his aching limbs. It had not been a comfortable sleep, he ought to have asked Smee to bring about some more suitable sleepwear or items to help him rest ashore. But then again... He could never sleep soundly on the island.

"Hmm, unless you are looking for the very flora or fauna that grow on this island, then I have to say I would not know.... Of course there is a certain... INDIVIDUAL that lives on this island, but he seems able to come and go as he pleases.... And he is notoriously difficult to capture and even harder to kill." The anger built up onto his face for a moment, before he turned to the woman. "I have been searching for the source of the island's magic for years, but alas, I'm not sure if it exists."

@elxgantcaptain asked: 🏊 Haru saving Hook? >>

   He knew not why this human was under the water so far, but Haru couldn't ignore the stranger's need of help. It was clear as he swam closer to inspect that something had went wrong, disallowing him from returning to the surface in time. The siren watches just long enough to realize this, before he gracefully and quickly swims to his aid. Upon reaching him, Haru saw the cause now -- thick seaweed tied up onto his leg, keeping him there. With sharp nails, Haruka breaks him free, and with his other arm pulls the human close to him. Blue tail fins push them upwards, until they break the surface of the ocean.

   A shore wasn't too far, so Haru brings him this way while carefully keeping the human's head above the water. It didn't take long at all to get there, pulling him onto the sand just far enough to be safe from the tide.

   Haruka stared down at him for a moment, inspecting. Due to his ability to walk the lands as well as swim the seas, he was quick to understand what would be needed to be done. Pinching his nose, Haru took a deep breath and began to lean in, preparing to perform CPR as he knew how to . . .

   . . . but luckily, a cough from the human indicated he was just fine. Haru jerked back in response, his eyes widening for a moment. By reflex, he was tempted to go back into the water, but he wanted to be sure the human would be fine.

   ❝Are you alright? he asks after the coughing subsides, tilting his head down at him, hovering close.

Perhaps free diving and swimming too close to the kelp forests was a bad idea, but James had done it hundreds of times, though perhaps he had been getting rusty and foolish on top of that, which he cursed himself for tenfold as his feet got tangled in the vines and he struggled to free himself, even with the dagger in hand, which slipped from his grasp in a panic.

His body had only just started convulsing with the lack of oxygen, he didn't recall when and how exactly he had been freed or turned to the surface... When suddenly he could feel sand beneath his back and between his fingers, rolling to the side to cough up seawater and gasp.

Wheezing, he blinked a few times, blearily through the water dripping down his face until he caught the sight of a man looking over him, hovering quite... Uncomfortably close.

"Yu-Yes..." He coughed again, pushing his sodden hair back, trying to regain composure and his sight by blinking harshly.

ㅤㅤ𝓣he Capitan was just as loud and obnoxious as Shan Yu thought, but of course- he wouldn't say that out loud at this time. The hun merely watched with a faintly annoyed expression while the man called Mr.Smee was called upon and showed his party where they could set up their living spaces for the time being. The Chieftan's dark eyes circled back to Capitan Hook as he gave him the follow me gesture. To which, Shan Yu agreed and followed him cautiously. He wasn't familiar with this ship, nor it's people; so it was safe to say every inch of him was on edge.

The Captain kept close eye on the chief's men as they were led below decks and into the bowels of the Jolly Roger. Hopefully he will not regret this, hopefully he won't see more men die at sea because of this and HOPEFULLY it won't bite him in his behind.

Hook proceeded to lead Shan Yu into his cabin, located beneath the quarter deck. Inside it was a mish-mash of items, rugs, clothes, sailing must haves. A piano one side of the room, a bed tucked away into a wall, a desk ladened with maps and mess.

Organised chaos was what Hook would call it.

"Sit." Hook gestured to a chair beside his desk and he went to sit the other side, folding his hand over his hook.

Iago took note of the breathing technique. he might need to instruct a certain someone to use that later. Or use it himself. It seemed to work well. he titled his head at Smee as he left and huffed.

"...Okay, that's... cool. Fine." Iago was actually rather curious but he knew better than to pry into a villian's private life. That most often led to him being smashed or worse.

" Well, uhn.. you're safe now. And dreams aren't real. They're just... things our brains make up when we sleep. So...uhn... try not to dwell on whatever that dream was about."

At that last comment, Hook paused his breathing method to give the bird a death glare. 'Dreams aren't real' 'they can't hurt you' 'its not real.' He's heard that before and he tried to convey his displeasure in his look, until he looked away and began to rub his stump one more.

'What can I get for you, Captain?' ~ From Potionista: @yarniingtales

"Barista! Your finest tea, if you may! I'm looking to transverse away to another plane through tepid leaf water!"

She almost rolled her eyes. Almost. "Very well then, Captain. Although if you must know, you need not fear any harm coming from me while we have our alliance. "Yes, thats what I offered, although it's not 'some magics' as you said, I was going to offer a sleep without dreams or nightmares."

Hook grunted, rising to his feet and stretching, cracking his back and smoothing his hair back. "As much as I appreciate your feeble attempt of 'kindness', I do not yet quite trust you, which I assume you don't mind, as you know you are not someone to be trusted."

He squinted towards the horizon, the sun should be rising in about an hours time at least. "What is the plan?"

@elxgantcaptain said: "That's not a tune I recognize."

"Just an old melody-- forgot the words some time ago. Reminds me of the only thing worth rememberin'." He's still preoccupied with his cooking. The stew smelled amazing already-- he seemed to be chopping up some sort of vegetables to round out the diet.

Hook kept his arms crossed, leaning against the doorway of the kitchen with his brow raised, watching as that marvellous arm contraption of his worked magic.

"Well, it seems you remember to add flavour to the meals on this ship," he strode forward, arching to look into the pot.
