... 5 years ago I was the only florist working in the shop during lockdown, keeping up with the constant funerals and trying not to get upset when people ordered each other 'quarantine flowers' as a nice little pick-me-up. Trying to explain to brides that we didn't know what the status of their flower order was because all of the flowers in the first week of quarantine had been stopped and destroyed at customs because we didn't know how the virus spread. I was an essential worker because of our involvement in the funeral industry, but that didn't stop the company from providing non-essential services, so it was just me and my boss and one delivery driver doing flowers for an entire 40 mile radius.

I think I was doing 10 funerals a day on top of everything else.

And today I spent 8 hours driving around the town I live in picking up trash and cleaning bathrooms and I saw flowers growing in the ground and I was happy.

How very depressing that Neil Gaiman had trended not even a tiny bit for demonstrating what a fucking horrific person he is.

As a reminder, he's suing Caroline Wallner, one of his accusers, for breaking her NDA. Not for libel. He's saying she shouldn't have told anyone about it, not that she lied.

He doesn't need the money. He's risking the Streisand effect. He is punishing Caroline, he's trying to intimidate other victims who have signed NDAs to scare them into continued silence.

He is no friend to women, to the LGBTQIA+ community, to anyone quite frankly unless he thinks they are of value to him.

Share the story. Put it on Facebook and bluesky and whatever else you're on. Make it clear what a horrifying person he is. Tell your friends. He's paying Edendale a fortune to try and cover this up. Make this hard for him. Make it cost him money.

they tried to flood the popular tags with gore and porn. this was when Homestuck was at its peak, so they were a target too. (side note: tags barely functioned at all at this point so trying to make them useless was like throwing a molotov into an already burning building but try telling that to 4channers)

but the Homestuck fandom was ready and countered by flooding the tag with weirder, more explicit Homestuck porn and gore.

to the point that the trolls themselves got weirded out, fucked off, and never attempted a “raid” again.
