blog update

hi! it’s been a while haha but I thought I’d make an update. obviously, I have not released a code since 2020 - and I don’t know if I ever will again.

to put it simply, coding no longer holds the same amount of interest to me the way it did before. at the end of 2019, I learnt how to gif, and last year, a bit of video editing. both were new forms of content creation for me, and I am way more interested in them right now. with so many other things to do including uni and a job, I kept putting new codes off, telling myself I’ll make one this next month etc etc, and before I knew it, it has been years since I last coded or released something new. coding has simply slipped my mind.

my codes have almost always started as custom pages or themes on one of my blogs that were released publicly after I used them for a while. I’m still coding new pages and themes for my personal blogs and thus do currently have a few that can be released in the future but when, and if ever, I don’t know.

if you’re worried about this blog, I will never abandon it for as long as I am on tumblr. I will always be here for any questions but I may simply be a bit slow to answer, especially if the question is in a dm. I will still be sharing new codes and tumblr updates as I have been.

finally, thank you to all of you still using my codes, even when they’re years old. it truly means so much to me.

Anonymous asked:

hi for your bibliophile theme i noticed that links change the text to lowercase, is their a way to get rid of this so it's just normal and only lowercase if the original text is? i hope this makes sense.. thank u!

hi and yep just delete text-transform: lowercase from a {

Anonymous asked:

hi i'm using your bibliophile theme and you have the option to hide header on index, is their a way so it's hidden on my pages as well? also is their a code i could use to have social media links on the sidebars? i'd soooo appreciate it. thank you :)

oh nevermind i figured out how to get rid of the header on pages... but i still hope their is a code for the links if you have any :3

by default it should be hidden on pages and can be turned on. as for social media links, it wasn’t made with a specific social media section in mind but you can use this that I had added for a blog I was using the theme on.

before </style> add

.sm i { font-size:15px; line-height:100%; width:15px; padding:9px; margin-top:5px; margin-right:10px; margin-bottom:5px; border-radius:100%; border:1px solid {color:border}; background:{color:posts}; float:left; }

and before the last </div> before <!-- end left sidebar --> or <!-- end right sidebar --> add

<div class="box sm"> <h1>social media</h1> <a href="http://" title="website"><i class="fas fa-at fa-fw"></i></a> </div>

you can add as many links as you like and change what it says after title to suite. it uses font awesome icons so change the <i class="fas fa-at fa-fw"></i> to whatever you want but keep the fa-fw. you may need to retype the quote marks.

hi sorry to bother you! i've been trying to use your bibliophile theme (i love it!!), however, the "home/inbox/follow" links in the nav bar aren't showing the icons they should and are not circles but more look squashed? this happens without changing the code, but no matter what i've tried to fix it isn't working. do you have any ideas? everything else is working great. thanks!!

hi and thank you! I’m on holidays right now and don’t have access to a computer so I can’t check and you’re on anon but it sounds like an issue with font awesome. search for ‘fontawesome’ and make sure the line is this

<link href="//use.fontawesome.com/releases/v6.5.1/css/all.css" rel="stylesheet">

if it’s something else, delete that and replace it with the above line.

Anonymous asked:

hiii, the icons aren't working on your pages and i was wondering how to fix this issue? is the kit for font awesome no longer available??

hi! yeah I stopped using the kit a while back because they started disabling them when they go past the allowed pageviews per month. just replace this line

<script src=“https://kit.fontawesome.com/4fe045a39a.js” crossorigin=“anonymous”></script>

with

<link href=“//use.fontawesome.com/releases/v6.5.1/css/all.css” rel=“stylesheet”>

and change 6.5.1 to whichever version you want to use and it should work
