"But I do know one thing, Toothless didn't just become my friend. He became the friend who gave me my purpose."
my favorite thing about the dragon riders:
Toothcup when they have to say goodbye: sweet fluffy heartfelt makes you tear up, soulmates having to part shit.
Hookfang and Snotlout: Hookfang being a little shit and playfully flying away while Snotlout says he's crying on the inside. Though you know an hour before in private they both were probably crying Ike babies.

Happy 15th Anniversary to How To Train Your Dragon!! Our world was never again the same. 🥰
@euruua27 I thought sharing this with you would make you happy. Isn't this so cute!! Love Hiccup and Toothless. And happy 15 years.
I want to set this vid as my wallpaper so bad! 😭✨
Hiccup was still confused, bewildered at the lost of his leg. And somehow, the dragon seemed understand that its human was not feel good.
It watched as the boy standed up, and managed to take his first steps with his new metal prosthesis. But clearly he wouldn't make it, so the moment he was about to fell off, it quickly got him. I can actually hear 'Don't worry, I got you." through the screen.
If you notice, and I hope you do, Toothless's wing wrapped around Hiccup as they turned, at the end the dragon also looked back and turned its tail around like a circle. Somehow, this creature knew that its human was feeling vulnerable with his new leg, and it provided him the safety.
Not until Hiccup got the support from his dragon, his steps were more stable. The way he relied on the dragon was not just about physically, but mentally, too. He trusted it. Not so surprised, though. Back to the time when he was still a 'talking fishbone', this dragon accepted him when nobody truthly did.
One more thing that I want to say, we know that the Viking seems so proud in case they lost their leg or their hand.... they believe that that's a sign of braveness (Snotlout used to be jealous abt it or just him idk) but Hiccup was so... prejudiced against it lol. Look at his eyes, there were lots of mix emotion. He didn't want it, but his mind kept telling him that this was good (according to Vikings) so he took a deep breath and tried to walk on it. Of course, he fall from first steps, but then Toothless, who had been watching him tried, immediately got him. Until then, Hiccup finally admitted (to himself unconsciously) that he didn't need to be 'pretend' in front of this dragon. He didn't need to 'fake' his emotion to protect himself bc his comfort zone was right there.
Lastly, this is just my delusion, but the way they went from hiding to go public, the light behind the door is just like a strong evidence for how far they reached together.
