Fuck everyone and everything except Terry. That boy deserves the world he has done absolutely nothing wrong. Brother saw his girl leave him on the spot, begged her to come back, and then proceeded to gather sticks to make a prosthetic, not even knowing if she was coming back. And on top of that, he picked up Viren, clearly warned Claudia before she saw his death, and was always an anchor to her even when she was very clearly in the wrong(which, I'm sorry, I do love her, but man she needs to die or be thoroughly redeemed)

The amount of times I’ve tried posting but ended up rewriting over and over again the same post about how annoyed I am at how people seem to hate Terry even more this season because they cannot comprehend how he could be True of Heart when ironically enough those who are saying stuff about how it doesn’t make sense are the ones who were always complaining about how too good Terry appeared to be for him to be associated with the magefam, how he was too pure of a character to tolerate dark magic and to be in love with Claudia before this season.

But I swear, the thing about him killing someone. Not only somehow has the fact that the show went out of its way to try to depict how that action didn’t automatically make him a bad person flew over people’s heads, but also the fact that the show has thus far defined the idea of innocence as not necessarily meaning doing goods things or not being exposed to bad things but rather lacking in understanding of the complexities of morality has completely flown over people’s heads. And the latter wasn’t even something just implied, it was directly told to the audience several times that that was how the show was defining it.

This is like one of those other things I’ve talked about where like, yeah, we could do a whole analysis of why this all makes sense and in this case it’s not really the fault of the show’s for people’s automatic misinterpretation of this new idea introduced in the show as being something black and white (and funnily enough the concept being talked about here is literally about how things aren’t black and white). But also at some point I feel like people should be doing their own inferring, they should commit to using the minimal effort required to just… think for a moment. About what is actually happening in the series.

Because some of the things I’ve heard ever since Terry was first introduced as a character in the series, it’s not even that necessary to look that deep into the show in order to understand him. The show sometimes literally tells us what it wants us to think about him. And yet people just somehow miss those things entirely.

One thing I actually love about season 7, and really the entirety of Arc 2 in general is Terry. So often, media chooses to depict trans men as angry, bitter, mean, etc, whether that be because of the myth that Testosterone makes you an angrier person, because of how they think the world has wronged them (which is valid), or because they're a man now, so they must be angry. And unfortunately, these perceptions of trans men have bled into real life, even within our own community. All trans men must be violent perpetrators of toxic masculinity and patriarchy because we are men, even hen we are ourselves victims of a patriarchy that is violent to us, pre and post transition.

Now, The Dragon Prince is Queernorm and dealing with many more plot and character threads than a patriarchy that isn't there in the world, so I never expected Terry to embody these themes. But He still could have fallen into the stereotype, nonetheless, because the Dragon Prince was written by people that live in our real world where these stereotypes do exist.

But he didn't. He is an embodiment of peace and harmony and love in nature. He giggles and claps his hands at the carousel in the puzzle house. He has an sensory anxiety routine ready to calm his girlfriend down. He is polite and awkward and positive towards Viren, who is a mean mass, frankly. He defends a mother bird, and takes care of her kids when he fails. He does the classic "Hey, Zuko here!" to join the good guys and is bamboozled when no one knows who he is. He is happy when a very angry and protective brother bear Soren does recognize him though. He is the source of many fart jokes. He wiggles his booty. He is protective of nature, and of the people he loves, even when he is hurt by them, and even when they are not on the same side anymore.

Terry is very important in this age of media where Trans men are either bad people or victims, and not anything else. I love him for that, and needed him, because I am more like him than any of the other trans men I've seen.

Terry loved Claudia so much, but I’m glad that he loved himself more. And this isn’t the first time Claudia has victimized herself, but it is the first time I was upset by it. “He left because he found out the truth” ummm YEAH GIRL, HE CALLED YOU OUT FOR MANIPULATING HIM AND YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO THROW A PITY PARTY?! Claudia, sweetheart, I love you and your dedication but blaming Terry for leaving because you chose to be dishonest with him is wild! And the craziest thing is I think he still would’ve done everything she asked of him! He knows who she is and he supported her every step of the way up until the moment she manipulated him.

i just finished S6 of the dragon prince and all i want to say is that the writers and Claudia's VA cooked this season.

Claudia's wailing in the first episode when her father left her?? and then again in episode 9?? it was heart wrenching i felt so much pain and empathy for her. it was reminiscent of azula's breakdown (are we surprised tho) Raquel Belmont deserves AWARDS after these performances ohmygod.

Soren and Viren lore?? fucking insane. i actually cried when Viren revealed the details of the spell to save Soren. HOLDING HIS WIFE BY HER HAIR AND TRAPPING HER AGAINST THE WALL TO TAKE HER TEARS?? that shit was horrific to hear and the fact that we SAW some of it?? thank god we actually didn't get the entire flashback because i honestly think the entire rating of the show would've changed from that scene alone. im honestly glad that viren did burn his confession instead of giving it to soren because that would've affected the season's finale ENTIRELY and i cannot even think about how soren would feel about finally confirming that his father did love him less at some point in his life.

Viren did earn some sympathy from me, especially with how much emotion Jason Simpson put into his acting this season however i cannot forgive him.

HER WHOLE STORY. THAT FACT THAT THIS IS ALL OUT OF REVENGE FOR AARAVOS'S YOUNG DAUGHTER. the rage and the grief he felt feels was valid esPECIALLY FINDING OUT HIS PRISON WAS IN A SEA OF HIS TEARS?? IN THE CRATER OF HIS DAUGHTER?? SURROUNDED BY HER BONES?? HORRIFIC. personally i also would've gone on my revenge arc too, especially with Sol Regem. His bitch ass CAUSED THE EXECUTION OF A YOUNG GIRL. if i ever catvh Sol Regem out in these streets it's on site

that whole scene geniunely had me sobbing. both Erik Dellums and Ridley Simpson gave such an amazing performance for such a short and soul-shattering scene. the writers did fantastic with the script and story-telling this season because i never thought i'd feel empathy for Aaravos but here we are

my only complaints this season are that some of the dialogue or at least the emotion in the dialogue felt flat and it was weird because some scenes set up these big emotional turning points but the actors delivery weakened that. some scenes the animation looked a little flat too but tbh that's been a complaint of mine since the show has come out.

but im also just disappointed in the fact that they couldn't have drawn ezran and callum in sleepwear?? like hello why are they sleeping in their everyday outfits?? RAYLA has sleep attire (as she should tho love her) and ezran also should've been given some sort of formal attire for his aunts WEDDING TO THE QUEEN OF SUNFIRE ELVES. like what was going on there guys

Thinking about how Soren and Claudia found other people who might remind them of each other

Terry is lively and joins in on her games just like Soren, he is caring and would do anything to protect her

Corvus is intelligent and sometimes gives in to some of Soren's jokes, just like Claudia, but he is a little less playful but still listens to him

They miss each other so bad but their duties keep them apart

So— as some of you may be aware, I was harassed quite badly on here a few nights ago. It was trans-targeted hate by what was either a bot, or a very bored incel from reddit or something.

Anyway, a lot of the claims made by whoever this account belongs to were very serious, and I just wanted to come on here and clarify that it was all untrue/fake/made up. I take these topics very seriously, and all things this user accused me of were sourced from dangerous, hateful, and transphobic stereotypes spread by conservative groups to falsely disguise their hate as “concern for children’s safety”.

I won’t sit here and lie to you all. These words hurt. I put on a brave face, and I laugh it off in the moment, but I can’t stress enough how horrible it feels to have your name, your sense of self, your joy just ripped apart by some random user on the internet. And now- thanks to that person- I’m afraid that some of the horrible things this person accused me of will show up next to my name when someone tries to google me.

I hope that nothing of the sort happens, but I can’t be sure that it won’t.

Anyway, I want to say thank you to those who sent me support those oncoming days after the event. <3 seeing those messages and texts genuinely meant and means the world to me. So thank you all. Seriously.
