If the show keeps Bashere (which who knows) I think the FUNNIEST and most in character way for him to address Deira being a Dark Friend is him being very nonchalant about it.

Bashere: Ah yes, my dear wife passed away a few years ago now. Tragic. I miss her every day.

Rand: I'm so sorry. What happened?

Bashere: Oh she tried to kill me in my sleep.

Rand: What.

Bashere: Didn't realize she was serious at first. Usually when she came at me with a knife in the bedroom it was for purely recreational purposes. Turns out she had decided to go over to the Shadow without telling me. dreamy sigh She probably would have got me if her knife hadn't caught on my ribs.

Rand: W h a t.

Bashere: After I disarmed her she confessed everything- all she demanded in exchange was the chance to plan her own execution. Classy woman right up to the end. Told me that if she didn't do it herself I would make the whole thing tasteless and gauche. Probably was right. She put together a beautiful ceremony: scattered king pennies, a silver chased ax, white silk for all the attendants to make the bloodstains really pop. It was a real crowd pleaser.

Rand: W H A T.

Is Davram Bashere actually Gomez Addams?

Wizards are not naturally immortal, in fact creating their own form of immortality is their graduate thesis.

“I have created a perpetual healing spell.”

“A classic. Congratulations.”

“If my soul leaves my body, this spell will keep it around and lucid enough to magic myself back together.”

“Effective. Next?”

“My spell feeds off the life force of microscopic things! When bacteria die near me, it adds to my total. Wiping down the sink with antibacterial cleaner gives me SUCH a buzz; I think I may have to dial it down a bit.”

“…I would be very curious to see your notes about this spell.”

Breaking News: Wizard Grad Student causes major religious schism by casting drain soul on microorganisms, accidentally proving Animism

“I tied my body’s physical shape to my self-image. As long as I feel young, I won’t age.”

“I see it also gave you… ah…”

“Massive dobonhonkeroos?”

“I was trying to find a more diplomatic way to bring it up.”

“An unexpected side effect, but not an unwelcome one.”

“Shall I assume it’s she/her from here on out, then?”

“Oh yes.”

“I was trying to

find a more diplomatic

way to bring it up.”

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.

I've gotten so many awesome comments on Fly Me To The Moon recently and my heart is so full <3

I wonder if it's because people are looking for stuff on the Breaking or the Sea Folk?

📢 IF YOU LIKE WHEEL OF TIME READ THIS POST-CANON FIC IM SO SERIOUS RN

it's a speculative fic following up on the more sci-fi premises of wot, as well as what improved understanding of channeling and the rediscovery of old weaves could lead to, and some of what a reforming tower could be like... I like it a lot okay. 🚀 🌙

<3 <3 <3

"But what is it about," you ask?

Dumbass Accepted teleporting to the moon :)

People who insist they need to read the books before watching the wheel of time, I am holding your hand. Listen to me. That’s the dark one speaking.

Pleaaaaaaase just watch the show first Trust Me you will likely have a much better time, you can read the books later when you’re really invested and you’ll get more out of them when you can pick up on the early foreshadowing.

I adore these books, but the show is a much better and more accessible point of entry for most people new to the story. Even if just for ease of watching 8 episode seasons instead of reading 800 page bricks. Also the show’s gayer and has more early focus on and development of the main female characters.

also also, and this is key, I need more people to watch the show as soon as possible so it gets renewed for the five more planned seasons k thx bye

Literally started watching the show because of OP and got so excited about it I read all the books between seasons 2 & 3. Trust me y’all, it’s a great way to experience the story and you absolutely do not need any book knowledge to enjoy the show!

imagine you have almost unlimited magical powers and live in a post-scarcity utopia with flying cars and teleportation and supposedly no illness or violence but that is slowly rotting over the course of a century because an entity of cosmic evil which no one knew existed before is corrupting people into doing theft and hatecrimes on each other for the first time ever so you decide to get yours while the getting is good so you swear allegiance to the cosmic horror corrupting your society but then you accidentally get trapped outside of reality in the pit of all evil and now that guy you were having fun playing cat and mouse with has been dead for what they say is three thousand years and there's no bitcoin to embezzle or biomedical research to fuck with and you’re stuck with these short lived practically illiterate peasants who don't even know what electrons are, much less have running water or know who you, fantasy bin laden, are or are capable of so they don't know they're supposed to be afraid of you. that’s the last month from the forsakens' perspective.

The 3 things Rand asks Moiraine about what she saw in the rings

  1. Do I go mad
  2. Do I kill Egwene
  3. Do I kill you

He has long been worried about going mad and killing those for whom he cares the most (Egwene always being at the top of that list), nothing exactly new there. But now he includes her, Moiraine, on that list?!?! 😭😭🫠🫠

He’s beginning the list
