IF YOU REFUSE TO GO TO A SHELTER, THE CITY IS SUPPLYING BUSES FOR YOU TO SLEEP IN THAT ARE WARMED. PLEASE FIND ONE! PLEASE A TENT IS NOT ENOUGH FOR THIS WEATHER.
I UNDERSTAND THE FEAR OF NOT WANTING TO GO TO THE WARMING CENTERS. PLEASE FIND SHELTER. IT IS TOO COLD TO MAKE IT OUTSIDE.
If you are in chicago and see a homeless person, please try to ask them if they are going to any of these options. They may not know this or are hesitant. A kind stranger speaking to them might make them want to go to shelter.
