So glad Nightwing fans finall coming in, I was worried that my Dick Grayson centered blog was reaching out to more Jason Todd fans and that put me through a crisis 😭
As of right now, there’s one day left, and Dick is behind eighteen votes!!! We can do it guys!

golden child my ass
The no kill rule is not about Bruce just uwu not wanting to become a murderer it’s about knowing that no person is morally infallible and omniscient and you cannot be judge jury executioner and that you are allowed to keep this last bit of innocence that you do not have to live with the burden of someone else’s crime you shouldn’t have to give away a part of yourself just because someone else decides to commit a horrible crime it’s not about whether the Joker deserves death it’s about whether someone should bear the burden of becoming a murderer none of you fuckers know why the death penalty is bad
do you think a Batman who holds little kids to get them to safety can pick them up with the same two hands that took a life? Don’t they deserve better? Doesn’t he?

Dick for the character opinion bingo?
Thank you, I'm happy! This is the first time someone actually give me a ask about thi sort of meme
Okay, so... Maybe I'm projecting a lot into Dick, but I'm always trying to keep in mind what is canon and headcanon about him. (Even if sometimes I think I could actually do better than some writers. Also Dick is autistic because I said so.)

whats so infuriating about Jason stans is that no one else will bring up their real opinions and political stances but them.
Sadly, they're really far from being the only ones in this fandom, or even in fandom in general.
I honestly have nothing against Jason killing criminals in the comics. My problems comes when people try to justify that for "my fav is better than yours" points, without even realizing the awful bullcraps they're saying.
Fandom culture took a real hit in the face the day we decided that a good character had to be a good person by IRL moral standards.
When I wrote my post, that was because I had encountered a post that was literally death penalty propaganda. And a it was a Jason Todd post.

I'm pretty sure 99% of content creators from the batfandom never met a child once in their lifetimes.

I remember that time when I lost a follower because I dared say that Dick belong to the dead robins club. It's funny.
I'm still saying it tho if someone else want to do the same.

Jason stans stop being death penalty supporters for five minutes challenge
So I understand why there’s people who say that Bruce should have killed the Joker, I really do, but I’ll be honest I actually understand more when he says things along the lines of “it would make me just like them” or how he wouldn’t be able to go back from that. Like just bear with me.
I think it makes more sense to interpret it as him not wanting to gain that power or the state of mind that would come from killing a person, even the Joker. Like it’s a slippery slope for him or something. Because not only would it be fairly difficult for Bruce to be held accountable as Batman (the whole secret identity thing) but there’s also the fact that Bruce is a literal billionaire, so with all the wealth he has also comes a certain amount of power he’d have in daily life right. It’s about the fact that someone with all that money and power shouldn’t be able to play judge, jury, and executioner with someone’s life. It doesn’t matter that it’s the Joker, it’s still a life. And even if it wouldn’t happen, Bruce wouldn’t want to reach that point of no return with the whole ‘power corrupts’ thing.
Future AU where some people are legacies and other people are dead.
I love the “Bruce is strong enough to pick up post-Lazarus Jason through sheer will and training” trope obviously, but picture:
Jason and Bruce being so heavy/muscular/fucking big, that they’re the only ones who can pick the other up.
Cue Bruce getting called in anytime Jason’s down and they need to move him. Or Jason getting pointed puppy eyes from Alfred until he sighs and picks Bruce up and carries him to bed after he passes out on the couch.
To add -
Somebody DOES carry Jason out of sheer willpower, and that's Dick "Don't tell me what I can't do" Grayson. Jason is his LITTLE wing, thanks very much, and Dick CAN and WILL pick him up. It becomes not uncommon to see Red Hood riding piggyback on a stooped, panting Nightwing who keeps insisting that he "Has it handled."
Dick has been carrying this entire goddamn family on his back since he was NINE. He’s not going to let one (1) a magically induced growth spurt stop him.
Who is your own personal comic book nemesis? Like the character you can’t stand above all characters and boil with rage just seeing them get attention? Mine is Sabretooth I wish that fucker would just stay dead
Some days I wake up and feel like Damian fans should start being as unapologetically supportive and annoyingly delusional as some stans of the other batkids.
Damian never did anything wrong in his life ever, it's all everyone else's fault.
Damian is the best Robin and Batman's favorite child.
Damian is the best choice to take over as Batman.
In fact Damian should take over the main Batman book, he deserves it.
Screw humility, nuance and canon.
Indeed, I made the mistake of going on twitter for the first time in a long time and had the misfortune to immediately stumble upon a heated debate to determine which batkid Bruce loves the most. Everyone was convinced the answer was obvious only for them to not agree at all on which of the kids this "obvious" answer was. Some explanations were really bad and highly selective. Some basically romanticed Bruce treating some of his kids better than others in certain stories.
Of course the debate also brought up other pointless and repetitive arguments like "who should be Batman after Bruce?" (as if DC would ever replace him for real), "who is the best Robin?" (since this is all being Robin is about, right?) and of course my all time favorite "Damian shouldn't be Bruce's Robin! He only works as Dick's Robin! Damian being Robin undermines Bruce's parental relationship with the other batkids!!!" (I don't have the time to explain everything I think is wrong with this take today. Maybe tomorrow)
I was exhausted after looking at it only for a few minutes and logged off again.
I really wish that Jason would find out that Dick killed the Joker because the absolute whiplash of emotions he would feel would kill me.
Like, on one hand, someone avenged him! Someone cared! Maybe it wasn’t Bruce, but the fact that Dick went against Batman’s code (even unintentionally) would be so major for him!
And then when he finds out that Bruce resuscitated the Joker…
I think it just puts that whole confrontation with Batman in UTRH in a whole new light for Jason. This man not only didn’t avenge him, but actively brought back his murderer! And maybe Bruce will spout some bullshit about doing it so Dick wouldn’t become a killer, but that wouldn’t matter to Jason. It might even make him angrier.
Anyways I’m just saying all this because I want Jason and Dick to get along and I want Dick to say the line “Because he took you away from me” when Jason asks why he did it.
