@eatdeepfriedgrits gave me permission to point out the details that give away that these are ai-generated images, since they are subtle if you don't know what to look for. But between the textures and artefacts, small details, and overall spatial awareness, even these photos that don't have glaringly obvious neon signs that say "AI!!!!" are easy to spot as fakes. Protect yourself against scams and deepfakes: learn to recognize the signs of ai images!
1. The most glaring. Count 'em up:
(Also a weird glowing halo around all the edges of the shapes)
2. You've heard of milk coming out your nose, but with modern technological advancements, you can now: milk going in your nose
(arrow pointing to the mouth)
3. Uh oh, pants are hard:
Points that should have rivets don't, and some rivets, like the ones where the pocket meets the waistband in the bottom two images, aren't actually riveting anything together*
Also notice the harsh white line under the belly. This isn't a reflective light patch, or 'bounce light', which would be a much blurrier and more subtle lighter area under a shadow, it's a common ai artefact that you can see throughout these photos. Not the cute kind of Visible Belly Outline 😞
4. Let's go back to that milk gallon:
The proportion of it is all wrong - the handle area is way too long, and even with all that extra handle space, the hand still clips through the top of it lol, either that or the top curving tube of the handle is ridiculously thin.
The grip of the hand doesn't make sense either - it's angled in line with the arm and the relaxed spacing of the fingers suggest a firm grip on something relatively light. With the milk jug at this angle, the side of the jug away from the viewer would be much heavier, and you'd see the hand grip compensating for the weight with a gallon jug that full (the grip would have to be much tighter or the heavy side of the jug would need to balance on the knuckles or on outstretched fingers much more). The effect is a jug that looks like it's floating. Also, the arrow shows where the shadows suggesting an indent at the bottom of the jug don't line up. (And are they usually pentagonal? 🤔)
Here is the most generous reference image I could find of a milk jug with the lowest/longest handle (I don't uh... recommend drinking raw milk tho), and on the right, more artefacts, weird shadows and a pancake finger:
Also the general shapes/shadows/curves of the knuckles and the skin texture at the wrist just feel off to me (the wrinkled skin shouldn't extend that far up the hand and down the arm, to my brain anyway), plus the surface tension of the milk around where the pancake finger is doesn't seem quite right either, you know? just me?
5. And one more before I put the rest under a cut: I know I can't talk because I have hypermobile joints but usually pinky fingers can't bend like that lol:
(also note those glowing purple and yellow halos)
