I remember I had been searching for this song for years after hearing it quietly play in a grocery store and didn’t realize it was a fleetwood mac song that whole time. even while feverishly trying to investigate i knew it would find it’s way back to me at one point or another
omfg … my favorite fleetwood mac song ever its so romantic
there’s just so much about the stress of living as a woman thats hard to explain to men beyond just like, the most explicit and overt sexism/misogyny. its like this tightly wound ball of all these behaviors and expectations and mannerisms that even most women are not consciously aware of half of them. you just get the feeling that something is not right, like it’s unfair. but you can’t explain why because it’s never simply just one thing or action done by another person- it’s that your whole life has always felt this way because the systematic dehumanization of women is so deeply insidious and invisible.

i understand the desire to shift the narrative of climate change towards the harmful actions of major corporations. however, abdicating all individual compliance is irresponsible. individuals in first world countries consume vast amounts and generate so much trash compared to other individuals on this planet. climate change is not going to be effectively tackled by pointing the finger at corporations yet absolving yourself of the excessive consumption habits and lack of self reliance that contribute to the overbloated production of corporations. ecologically sound direct action means struggle against polluters and corporations as well as sustainable communities that use less resources and produce more internally
