okay, I think I should just get rid of the Master Sword for LinkedTale-LET ME EXPLAIN, let me explain.
I figured, since Legend is Chara, that the Fighter’s Sword/Tempered Sword would be final items compared to the Master Sword. The Tempered Sword is for the No Mercy run, ofc.
Now, that doesn’t mean I have to completely get rid of the Master Sword. Fi, for example, can still here. She can be Napstablook in this AU, because Ghirahim HAS TO BE METATON, NO ONE ELSE HAS THIS GUY’S VIBES okay?
Fi being Napstablook also works with Sky being Toriel. She visiting her Link :) Very wholesome. And Sky can still weld her during the end of the Ruins fight.
My Sepfember drawing is done 🎉 A bunch of Zeldas and yes 👍 extra content like separate duos are under the cut, thank you @rebornofstars for this wonderful event
Does anyone who has their requests open want to draw one of these girls 🥺 I miss them
Maybe not like, Phantom since you can barely see her design that I also need to change, and maybe not Echo too, since she’s just. Normal EoW Zelda.
It's not a plot point we see in any other games, so what makes Adventure of Link different? Here's my theory: the silver arrows. In the original Legend of Zelda (the first one), you kill Ganon by stunning him with your sword and finishing him off with an item called the silver arrows. Maybe, the silver arrows are a magic item designed to seal away powerful enemies within the blood of the user.
But the first game isn't the only time we see the silver arrows, they're also in A Link to the Past. Like the first game, you use them to finish Ganon off after stunning him with your sword. But Link doesn't have to deal with monsters trying to sacrifice him to bring back Ganon in that game, so I guess that destroys my theory, huh? Except... You know who does almost get sacrificed to bring Ganon back? Zelda. In the oracle games, twinrova kidnap her and try to sacrifice her. The in game explanation is that her death will bring people so much despair that Ganon can return, but what if it's also because Ganon is sealed away within her blood? Maybe she made/comissioned the silver arrows in the first place and put her blood in them for the hero to find and use in A Link to the Past. And then, hundreds of years in the future, Link from the first Zelda game finds and uses them, not realizing the whole blood curse situation that goes with them
Tldr: silver arrows seal Ganon away in the user's blood and he can be brought back using their blood. Zelda from alttp and oracle games made and used them, and then Link from the first Zelda game used them and that's why he's got a blood curse in Adventure of Link
3 for the writing thing :3
sat down, started writing, went in a totally different direction from what i had planned, but here ya go (sorry for any spelling mistakes):
...
"I trusted you!" Mask screamed, punching at the captain as hard as he could, trying again with his other arm when the bastard managed to catch him by the wrist.
He was able to get him hard in the side with his right hand, and raised his fist to go again.
"Sprite-" His brother started, but he didn't let him finish. He COULDN'T let him finish. He'd never been so angry in his life, Link was supposed to be different. Link wasn't supposed to LEAVE him like EVERYONE else had.
He'd let down his guard around the captain, he'd let himself be comforted by him. He'd told him his fears because he assumed it'd been safe to do so, he'd gone and gotten ATTACHED to him. He'd believed him when Link told him he loved him, but if that were true then the captain wouldn't be doing this.
"You were supposed to be different!" He sobbed, kicking at the man when his other wrist had been caught. "Fuck you!"
Link let out a pained grunt when Mask's foot successfully nailed him in the shin, but his only other reaction was to grab him tightly and pull him close, wrapping his arms around him in a way that usually would've brought him comfort but now only made him angrier.
He didn't stop fighting, he didn't stop trying to hit him even if it was difficult to do with his hands pinned between them, and all the while the captain just held him. His brother held him like he was something precious and special, gently brushing his thumb through Mask's short hair in some kind of soothing gesture as he rocked him from side to side to calm him down.
"I'm sorry," the captain sighed, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. "I'm sorry, Sprite."
Mask thought it'd make him angrier. He thought that would fuel him enough to break out of his brother's hold, but instead he collapsed against him, crying harder as he struggled to get his arms free so he could wrap them around Link instead of punch him.
"I hate you," he somehow got out through his sobs.
'You can't leave me' was what he meant.
