my headcanon for Ideaman (the "Staff Officer of Planning" for the Krieg Pirates) is that he had a good idea exactly one time, and everyone has called him "Ideaman" and looked to him for guidance ever since. this torments him, but it's gone on for so long that he'd look silly if he spoke up now.
