you know, when i rebranded this section of the blog way back as “hyperfixation corner” i was like “this is the best tongue-in-cheek yet accurate name to describe the long benders i go through when writing those”

anyway it’s 2025 and i recently found out i have autism so uh. happy autism awareness day and i guess

and tbh the funniest thing is that i’m personally genuinely fine, it’s as i’ve said once you go through worse you kinda dgaf about race 1, race 2 shenanigans (i WILL start to get somewhat concerned if we keep having brainfarts in japan). but as my friends know i’m such a die hard tifosa i was flooded w messages this morning and i can’t help for the sake of the drama to reply like this:

when 4 rookies are having trouble to go through a seemingly standard wet race, it seems there’s something wrong both with the development formula programme and the regulations spec innit

i’m genuinely not concerned about ferrari bc it was a very standard saturday-sunday-brain fart from our behalf and i’ve seen plenty of those just as i’ve seen plenty of wins. i think the main concern really is that only two rookies were secure enough to handle driving in the wet and have the near-crash experience that every driver had today. they just have no experience because it became too convenient for f-lower race directions to cancel races due to bad weather for the same reasons we have to postpone and abort sessions now.

#these cars are not well conceived and the rulebook gives them no leeway to at least practice if they lose sessions mid year#the gaps in the calendar are huge#the junior formula system is proving itself to be more of a clusterfuck than we’d know simply bc we had no rookie upturn
