I think the reason season 8B feels like a fanfic is because we have already imagined a hundred thousand different ways Buck and Eddie could get together. We’ve already exhausted every single possibility out there. Watching them get together in canon was always going to feel like fanfiction, because whatever scenario the writers come up with, we have already imagined a thousand times over.
#no cause I thought those exact wording in my head.
I really don't like the social norms in Tv
So you guys, this morning my Mom was watching a Tv show. ( I have no clue what it was called). All the sudden the main guy said something like "You have my back! Your my partner, I need you!" (sound familiar..?) so I started to listen and watch. Btw they are work partners! The person he is talking to is a woman, and they share the same look Buck and Eddie do during their deep conversations, they stared into each others eyes. Only the difference between them is that they got together romantically , why? because they are a man and a woman, and their "friendship" was for sure not platonic. but because Buck and Eddie are both men that same scenario is brushed off as "brotherly" or "good friends". I wasn't shocked when I watched the rest of the episode with my mom and the two of them figured out they loved each other. The longing eyes, and basically love confession from earlier gave it away. But when it comes to the same situation just with the same gender, I guess they are now going from love confession to brotherhood🤷♂️...
8x09 Theory!!!!
So ,we got the summary for what is happening in 8x09 and it says that the 188 is responding to a animal shelter fire and they have to get all the animals out. oStark said that in 8x09 Buck is going to react in a very 'cute' way. My theory is that one of the animal's in shelter is going to be left inside because its biting and growling at everyone. Buck being reckless as we know he's going to be, is going to take it onto himself to get the dog out. Maybe the next day, the animals don't have anywhere to go, so they go to other shelters, but no one wants to take the mean dog because it's growling at everyone, Buck hears this and adopts the dog. Where you might ask he will keep the dog? Either at the fire house or he's going to sell is loft and move into Eddie's house. He takes the dog in and try's his best to get it to open up to him, Buck realises the dog is scared of him, and probably was abused by people. Buck feeling that connection to the dog and becomes super attached, and without Eddie there, no one is going to stop him. Him and the dog become besties. Buck probably would name it, buddie.
Fic Idea!!
does anybody want to make a Teen Eddie fic. I was just thinking about how we have Buck's childhood, but not Eddies, and what we think actually happened. I personally would love a best friends forever with Shannon kinda fic, where it goes through Eddie meeting her and becoming best friends, and Eddies catholic guilt situation(possibly from gay thoughts that he went to confession for) and him and Shannon experimenting and accidentally getting her pregnant, Eddie being pressured into marriage, and then current episode 8x09 or 8x10 with Eddie in a coma or near death experience. With him resizing he has been gay all along whether he represses it or not, and that he was in love with Shannon but not romantically. This honestly would give him the best gay arc without being attached to Buck, and I really want to see more of Shannon and his friendship as kids.
