"what's your favourite part of me? physically," kento asked in the midst of your dinner, causing you to slightly choke on your food out of shock.
"what?"
"what's your favourite body part? something that you absolutely love?" kento asked again, now getting more serious.
"what's with the weird questions ken?" you asked as you copied his previous actions, setting down your utensils.
"gojo talked about how everyone fawns over his freakishly blue eyes, so it made me wonder what do you fawn over?" kento was deep in thought at this point. "it's not that serious, i am just curious."
"well, your height? your figu-"
"be honest love. i know that isn't it," kento raised his brow.
"well..." you were ashamed of the real answer. a blush quickly crept up your face as kento's eyes never left you. "i like your...hands."
"i knew it," kento let out a small smile.
"what?!" shock was an understatement to kento's reveal.
"well, i've seen you stare at my hands for an uncomfortably long amount of time, so i just guessed," he shrugged as he continued eating dinner once more.
"i don't stare that much. plus, your hands are just pretty, they are very attractive," you couldn't stop rambling, to try to defend yourself somehow.
"it's fine. i think it's cute. who knew that my love would have a hand kink?"
well, safe to say. kento used that knowledge a little too well.
nanami kento has always hated the cold. with the extra layers, he finds going out troublesome. but, kento has never been so thankful for the cold wind until now. as you let him go from a tight hug, looking up at him as if he was your entire world.
"ken, why are your ears so red? are you cold?" you asked without thinking, quickly touching them making kento flinch.
"sorry, my gloves are covered in snow," you were about to take off your gloves before kento quickly stopped you.
"no need, i can warm my ears myself," he quickly covered his ears, looking away from you.
"well, at least use these," you took off your earmuff, putting it on kento. he looked a bit off, but if you were honest, he looked extremely..."cute"
"did you say something y/n?"
"no...nothing," kento didn't push further, but he heard you loud and clear. even with the extra layer of earmuffs, he knew exactly what you had said. and as a pink hue crept on his cheeks, kento has never been so thankful for the sudden gust of wind in the cold winter.

after the weird april fools encounter, your interactions with nanami had gone more sparce. partly because you were avoiding him, and he had noticed.
"why can't you guys just talk? i see no problem in that. frankly, that is an excellent solution," shoko shrugged, as if what she had just offered as a solution was easy to do.
"i can't. it's too embarassing, what if it was just a prank?"
"you and me, and in fact all of us know. that wasn't a prank, kento does not involve himself in pranks that would actually hurt someone," what shoko said was the truth, you knew he wouldn't prank you like this. playing with someone's feelings is something kento would never do, but you just couldn't admit it. because if you did, you would have to face the fact that kento does truly like you, and you weren't able to confess to him.
"c'mon y/n. kento pranking you by switching your salt with sugar, sure. a bit unexpected, but it could still be plausible. but him confessing to you as a prank? ya. that's impossible. pigs would start flying before someting like that would happen. i have a bet that kento wanted to confess to you for so long, and he finally worked up the courage to do it, while ignoring what day it was."
"yea...i guess."
"no guessing. i know you know what i said is factual," shoko got up from your office couch, heading to the door. "speak of the devil," shoko picked something up, a yellow envelope.
you quickly got up and ran to shoko, getting the envelope before she could open it. "i'll leave you to it," shoko gave a pat on your back as she exited the room.
with the yellow envelope in your hands, you knew it was from kento. you carefully opened the envelope, scared to see what was inside. and there it was, kento's hand writing.
"Dear Y/N,
I am deeply sorry for the confusion I have caused due to the 'April Fools' prank that had occurred. It was a lack of care on my part. It was not a prank, let me emphasise, if was not a prank. Gojo had decided to lend me a hand because he thought you would have rejected me, which I would not mind.
I am not scared to be rejected. But I want to make it clear. I do like you Y/N, and I am sorry for not correcting Gojo when he said it was a prank. If you do decide to forgive me, please call me I'll make it up to you.
Sincerely, Kento"
there it was. a confirmation. a justification of shoko's words. and you have never been so happy to be wrong.

“i miss you, hubby,”
—is all you said to your husband over the phone last night. kento had flown out of the country earlier that morning for a business trip and his absence was bothering you more than you expected it to.
but when you uttered those four words to him, you didn’t expect kento to appear at your doorstep not even a couple hours later. you stand frozen as your brain processes who you’re seeing in front of you.
“ken?” his nickname slips out of your mouth in a confused whisper.
