(I just grabbed an older Outfit-of-the-day from Emi for this. We don't actually know if she was with Manami for this, but we can't help but wonder...)

4 months to keep it a secret, huh? Lol
Poor Manami. The shopkeeper was very informative, but she was NOT expecting to find out that the Pashto phrase for "thank you" was "laa taso manana."
You can even see that, for a moment there, she was having the tiniest of Moments that broke through her professional side. Neither the clip nor the in-studio recap from Manami actually points out why she reacted like that and it moved on normally.

Today's lunch doodle is Attempt # 2 at remembering how to draw my oldest (creation-wise) OC, Miko. I didn't actually share Attempt # 1 here because I rejected the finished product shortly after posting it in bsky. So it goes~
Anyway, the main drawing is her dressed in the outfit Kikuchi was wearing in a recent photo on IG. Her outfits sure are reminding me of the "comfy" side of Miko's style, so why not?
I was oddly inspired by this BTS photo Emi shared on Bitfan. She was in-costume for Bokuhoshi and waiting in a school hall...and this little table-desk-thing had a little Kirby plush and even a star plush.
I really wanted to do a whimsical "children's book"-style take on it, and here it is. Kirby looking up at the tol lady, Emi looking down at the smol puff

I've been doing a lot more writing and observing as of late. Since this blog is basically my "non-art" blog, and things can get mixed in, I decided to make this pinned post that has all my more personal posts about this series.

Note: MUCH of my writing relies on folks having already seen/read through the materials at least once. Sometimes I add Japan-only chapters in my conversations, as the newer chapters are available for free on Comic Walker for a limited time, and I try to catch them on release day. However, while that doesn't happen AS MUCH, it's still a warning!

Work has been getting busier, so I've had less chances to doodle during my breaks. I thought I had time today, but then I was paged back to the floor to help with a complex return that took a third of my time
