Catch The Moment - Lee Know x afab!Reader
⤷ Content warning - Themes of pregnancy ⤷ WC - 0.8k ⤷ Summary - You tell Minho something special in the perfect place to capture it. ✧ Masterlist ✧
“It's gonna eat my money.” Minho scoffs as you drag him into the photo booth in the far corner of the busy arcade.
You smile, rolling your eyes and mulling over the selections on the screen. You choose the decorations for your photos while he watches with a pout.
“Oh will you stop it, Min. It'll be fun, come on! We did this on our first date, remember?” You look into the camera and see that he's looking over at you on the screen.
Minho x Reader
angst/comfort
inspo from @ seungfl0wer!! I love their works!
You had always been the talkative, affectionate type. From the moment you met Minho, your bubbly personality had been a constant in his life, a stream of warmth and light he found himself drawn to. You loved sharing every little detail of your day with him—the funny things your coworkers said, the way the sun hit the park on your way home, or the recipe you wanted to try for dinner.
Minho had always been receptive, listening intently, laughing at your stories, and teasing you when you got overly dramatic. It became a routine, a rhythm you both cherished.
But recently, things had shifted.
Writers should NOT feel guilty about:
- Skipping a day of writing.
- Not having a perfect first draft.
- Partaking in sinister, arcane rituals for inspiration.
- Working at their own pace.
- Enlisting demons and/or helpful spirits to aid them with editing.
Late night thoughts 005 | Yang Jeongin
note: 1k event Commisson giveaway winner @miss-daisy04 (sorry it took so long :(( ) fluff, drabble
The living room was comfortably cluttered. Takeout boxes and crumpled napkins littered the coffee table, remnants of a feast neither of you had anticipated finishing. The TV was still on, the credits of some rom-com rolling by in a soft glow that bathed the room in flickering light. You were wrapped in an oversized blanket, one sock on, the other mysteriously missing, nestled into the corner of the couch.
Jeongin sat next to you, legs stretched out and crossed at the ankles, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
“You didn’t even like the movie,” he teased, his voice cutting through the quiet.
“I didn’t say that,” you countered, though your tone betrayed you. You glanced at him with a pout, the kind that you knew melted him every time. “It was fine. Just… predictable.”
“Predictable, huh?” he asked, picking up a stray straw wrapper from the coffee table. “You didn’t even watch the ending,” he teased softly.
You peeked up at him, your eyes soft and glinting. “I did! I just… might’ve zoned out a little.”
He chuckled, shaking his head. “Zoning out on the best part? You’re hopeless.”
“Hopelessly full,” you countered, gesturing toward the battlefield of takeout boxes. “I can barely move.”
Jeongin looked at the mess, then back at you, his smile softening into something quieter, something fonder. Your hair was a little messy, your oversized sweater slipping off one shoulder, and there was probably a bit of sauce on your cheek from dinner. But to him, you looked perfect—like you’d stepped straight out of a dream.
“Sure, sure,” he murmured, his lips twitching into a smile as he began twisting the straw wrapper in his fingers.
Jeongin’s fingers worked the straw wrapper in quiet concentration, his head slightly bowed as the soft light from the TV flickered across his features. You glanced at him from your cozy spot on the couch, , your heart twisting at the sight. There was something so captivating about how he looked right now—calm, focused, and completely at ease, as if he was exactly where he wanted to be.
When he finally lifted his gaze to yours, his expression softened in that way that always made you feel like the only person in the room. Without a word, he reached for your hand, the movement so gentle it made your breath catch.
Sliding closer, he slipped something onto your finger—a small, uneven ring made from a straw wrapper. It was delicate, imperfect, but it sat snugly against your skin, warm from his touch.
“I’d marry you with this,” he said, his voice low, steady. “Right here, right now. I don’t need anything fancy. No big plans, no perfect timing. Just you.”
Your chest tightened, a lump forming in your throat.
“I mean it,” he continued, his thumb brushing over your knuckles. “You’re the only thing that feels right in my world. The only thing I want.” His voice wavered slightly, but his gaze never left yours. “If this is all I had to give you—this stupid little ring—I’d still give it to you, because I’d rather have this moment with you than anything else.”
Tears pricked your eyes, but you blinked them away, trying to smile through the wave of emotion that swept over you. “It's not stupid,” you whispered. “This… this is perfect.”
His lips curved into the softest smile, and he exhaled like he’d been holding his breath, relieved. “Yeah?”
You nodded, swallowing hard as you looked at the little paper ring on your finger. “Yeah.”
Jeongin’s grin widened, his cheeks flushing as he scooted closer, wrapping his arm around your shoulders. He tugged you into his side, letting the blanket drape over both of you.
“I’d say yes,” you whispered, your voice trembling slightly. “Even with a paper ring.”
You smiled against him, your hand brushing over the little straw ring on your finger. It wasn’t much, but it was everything.
“Good thing, then,” he murmured, his lips brushing the top of your head. “Because I’d never stop asking.”
You nestled into his side, your fingers toying with the little napkin ring as you smiled. It wasn’t much, but it was everything.
He smiled against your forehead as he pressed a lingering kiss there, pulling you into his arms as if he couldn’t bear to let you go. You nestled into him, your hand resting on his chest, the little straw ring catching the light as it sat between you—a simple, fragile thing that somehow felt indestructible.
In that moment, surrounded by the mess of takeout containers and the quiet hum of the TV, nothing else mattered. Just him. Just you. Just love.
