I looked up the tweet to confirm it was real (because even now it was shocking), and she doubles down (as she always does) in follow up tweets.
It’s always felt like the way TERFs hate Asexuals is related to the fact that we kinda fuck with their narrative by existing.
They can’t spread transphobia on the back of gender essentialism that says people with penises are animals with no impulse control, if simultaneously it’s generally understood that some people (which includes some people with penises) just don’t have that sexual impulse.
If asexuality is real then a lot of Radfem rhetoric starts falling apart.
in my brain the ncr’s coverage of what’s happening in the mojave is largely drowned out by the million other conflicts they have going on and because they sort of Need to throw people into the campaign and bad publicity will make people steer away and they need the support towards the mojave because they’re already stretched thin, most of the news/info that come from there are probably distorted/embellished/etc to make people believe that the mojave campaign isn’t a slow and painful thing doomed to fail and to make sure that they don’t mention how nevada doesn’t really want to be annexed. y’know, average government stuff

Senator Cory Booker just broke the all-time record for the longest Senate floor speech, speaking for over 24 hours without a pause (no food, no bathroom breaks, only water to drink) as a protest against Trump and Musk and what they're doing.
The previous record was set in 1957, when Strom Thurmond spoke for 24 hours and 18 minutes protesting the Civil Rights Act.
Senator Booker has blown past that record, currently at 25 hours and still speaking as of 8 pm local time. Respect.
