i was pretty iffy on it in the first place, despite it being pretty normally for consoles to have successors. i mean shit there are five fucking play stations.

and sure, most of this reaction was just a gut feeling, but NOW?

the original switch was $299 on launch. this new console? $499. that’s nearly double. does it have more, numerable, and arguably cooler features? yeah sure? but it’s also objectively more expensive to LIVE than it has ever been before. TO LIVE.

on top of that, each game is almost $100 whether you’re buying it physically or digitally, making it almost impossible for players like me (who only buy new games for my existing switch when they’re on sale (thank you sale on balatro this winter)) to buy any games at all.
