"You interrupted my SPEEEECH!"

@gengar-pixel-2

Hello! Name's gengar. And now that you are here, Welcome to my little hyperfixation hell! I like Robots and Vampires. How about you? (Also i am autistic! Sorry if i don't catch onto certain jokes or social cues. She\Her)

Let's try this introduction thing again, Yeah? *clears throat*

Hi! I'm Gengar! I post mostly middle earth, transformers and poptropica stuff as of now, But you'll find a number of different fandoms! So I'm a multifandom blog.

I have so many things in my brain right now, Rotating constantly. I'm a certified vampire kisser, Cringe and free, And I like to make stuff. That too, I guess. And I like animatronics. <3 I hope you enjoy my blog! (Carrd is Below and Strawpage below.)

Why do so many people I talk to think Transformers One was childish/clearly for children? Like they have watched the movie, seen the manipulation, the devastating experiences of different perspectives, they have seen what happens at the end! Is it just because its animated? That's my mom's perspective.

Is it because they hold nostalgia for the old g1 cartoons? That's doesn't make sense cause they don't even take themselves seriously!

What bar it is that you would like this media to meet? I know for a good chunk of people it is due to a comparison to the bay movies, but outside that what is so childish about Transformers One?

I don't like, know the reason and I'm not saying kids can't watch it or anything, my little brother did after all, and at the end of the day, this is a franchise for children.

HOWEVER

transformers one is, compared to the others, an emotionally devastating film with heavy topics. Like, this movie made my brother cry, and it takes a lot for a kid like him to cry. It shook him.

This movie also has several death scenes. Brutal ones, even though they're robots.

And also, light-hearted silly humor to balance it out. what people don't understand is that at its core, imo, transformers has always made it clear that it wants to be a perfect balance of silly and serious, at least after g1/the original movie. Even when a serious transformers story is told, there's always that lighheartedness to let the audience know that there's still hope/to alleviate the tension. part of g1's charm is how unserious it is and its 80s cartoon energy thats baked into the loaf, i think they just wanna keep some of that while also telling a good story. So long as you can balance both, there's nothing wrong with that.

ALSO, IF I MAY BE SO MEAN FOR A MOMENT, PARDON ME.

(It gets a little crass and suggestive here, heads up)

Anonymous asked:

Given Steve Buscemi plays Starscream in TFOne and he has 5 kids in your AU, please please PLEASE do a drawing of Starscream doing the "How do you do my fellow kids?" meme?

i LOVEE STEVE BUSCEMI AS STARSCREAM ITS SO PERFECT!!

sir you are a father and one of the oldest in high command of cybertron at this rate,,,,but i will let him try to be hip with the youngsters as a treat

bonus:

Crush aside, I think Fanzone’s kind of an underrated character

Like….they could have just made him the bumbling cop trope, or worse, the stick in the mud, by-the-book cop trope who’s only there to serve as an antagonist for the main characters…..

…But they didn’t. Sure he’s comic relief, but he’s just a genuinely good guy and a great character.

He’s like a big papa-bear to Sari, despite the fact that she’s constantly teasing him and he doesn’t even like kids.

He’s smart enough to not only remember that Cybertronians fear organic germs, but to also seek out the local sleezeball and use that fear against him.

He cares about protecting his city so much that he’s willing to go up against GIANT ALIEN ROBOTS to do his job.

And he can put aside his machine-hate whenever the Autobots need him, or vise-versa.

Plus, HE PUNCHED A FUCKING MUTATED BAT-MONSTER A LEAST 10 FEET TALLER THAN HIM IN THE FUCKING FACE.

And yeah, I DO love the fact that he IS prejudice against the bots at first (which is slightly justified, since they DO wreck his city on a daily basis)…but ya’know what? He gets over it. And I LIKE that in this show literally EVERYONE has their own mini character arc where they start out one way and end up another.

Also, he has a thick Canadian accent for some reason and…okay, yeah, how many tough, badass Canadian characters in American cartoons can YOU think of?

So yeah. Props to Captain Fanzone’s character.

Stay awesome, Carmine.

Definitely agree! I remember being pleasantly surprised at what a great character he was!

i had like, a love-dislike relationship with this guy but I've slowly realized.. No he's a great character, actually.
