Interesting question!! Given that candy critters are technically organic in the context of their world, they can heal similarly to us! With time, and with the help of sugary medicine and doctors ^^

So let's say Sonic loses a chunk. He'll be in tip top shape with the right care! Not that such thing would ever happen..
