thing is self shipping is inherently self serving and if youre not doing everything in this for yourself and your happiness then it Will start to bother you. you cant do any of it for the approval of others

Then they hate you. But they also fully misunderstand you- and that's important. They hate a fake version of you, and have no idea who you really are, and that makes them invalid. Their thoughts are not truth- they're just an incorrect opinion, like calling the sky made of rocks.

Listen, self shipping is VERY much about self indulgence and healing. Doing it for yourself is hard but you can do it. You do it because a deep part of you loves yourself, and wants you to be happy, even if you don't realize it. If you do it for the approval of others, then... what's the goal there? Self shipping is inherently a GOOD kind of selfish- it's self care and indulgence and it's FUN!

TLDR; have fun with it, people calling you things that you're not reflects more on their assholery at being willing to make fun of you for a truly harmless hobby, than it ever reflects on you.

#THISSSSSS#ive been selfshipping for 20 years (more then that when counting platonic others since i had alot of those in my childhood)#imma do my own thing.... yeah attention is nice... but imma ship and post what i want here regardless#ive been imagining scenarios with my f/os and just drawing selfshipping art since i could pick up a pencil#(like i still have art from when im like 8 years old hanging out with sonic characters lol)#even before finding the larger ''community'' i would be making selfship art that has NEVER been seen by anyones eyes but my own#and on other occasions id be posting some on my main (or deviantart) without a care what attention it got aside from friends at that time#but being ficto to me means self shipping is an integral part of my being... i will NEVER let random people on the internet control it#or how i go about it....#like i view this blog like its my house.... you're invited to hang out and chill with me for as long as you please#but you arent allowed to come inside my home and start rearranging the furniture... youre a guest here#if you dont wanna hang out anymore for whatever reason then you can leave anytime its fine 👍🏾 /nm#(and in rare cases if youre rude to me OR other individuals hanging out in my house... i can/will just kick you out lol)#like i love sharing my relationships with all of you!! yall are so sweet/supportive and i will never take that for granted#but the end of the day i self ship for me 😭😭😭 and i wont let the approval or disapproval of others stop me#or god forbid let that control who i ship with#because whether or not if i had this blog id still be selfshipping and id still be making art just for my enjoyment#(just like how i did in my late teens/early 20s) because i love my f/o so much.... and they have saved my life many times ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤#like i actually have even more thoughts about this topic and how selfshipping should be for oneself first and foremost#but i yapped enough 💀💀💀💀 peace and love ✌🏾🫶🏾#text
