Ian Glemsans Not So Secret Art Trash

@glemsans

you...you saw it didn't you?

These little challenges are a nice change of pace. I did this over a day but I'll probably return to this piece and clean it up a bit more :)

All pictures I use are from pixabay.

Making a little mermaid vhs slip cover! It was such a fun project, and now I'm planning to make a bunch of these! Here is a closeup of the back and front :D

process video down below!

Took around 15-20 hours each, they look simple but each block took 3 coats of paint plus a sealer. I have 2 others, the pufferfish and the rainbow trout. Used little cube wood blocks, acrylic/gouache mix, and woodglue, and modpodge as supplies. ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŽฃ

BACK TO THE FIELDS I GO!

I wanted to give myself a 'how much can I do in 2 hours'. It was my warmup this morning. Ended up with three drawings, simpler but it's good to know my drawing speed has vastly improved over the years. Yellow characters practice: 10 minutes each Robot: 1 hour 40 minutes. (my brain could not figure out the lighting)

And back to the drawing board I go! - right after a much needed coffee break.

I make the comic page, I take best bit of comic page. Now to go drink my non alcoholic wine from a glass with a straw like the classy lad I am.

This sounds weird, but sometimes when making uncanny art it hits a weird 'not uncanny but too far gone' or just not as funny as it was in my head. Subwoofer is one of those moments.

I swear to not make an unhinged fish comic.

OH HECK! I made 2 very short concept comic strip (this is the 1st one) that were a really fun side project for myself. Made roughly I think 6 months ago, give or take a fish month. It'll be a project I do over non alcoholic wine, and when I need to give myself a good laugh. Now if you don't mind I'm going to vanish.
