“Friends, huh? That what we are?” There’s suddenly a deeper tone to Bucky's voice. He's probably sitting in his office, with his secretary right outside. Behind the same desk they banged on a few weeks ago. God. Sam inhales and shifts around in his chair.

“That’s what you said. Right, buddy?” Sam revels in the ever-suffering groan Bucky lets out. Knows he’s tossing his head back, opening up the smooth length of his neck that Sam loves to dig his teeth into.

“I explained about that.”

“Was that before or after you choked me out? Can’t recall right now. Maybe you can jog my memory—”

Anyways, Sam is a neat freak and Bucky is a messy eater(🤭). And it drives Sam crazy seeing Bucky’s white shirts covered in all types of sauces and condiments day after day.

The way his looks at himself and the mess he made, he knows Sam is going to give him a stern talking too when he sees that shirt’s ruined.😭😭

I don’t think I’ll ever be over the fact that Bucky was watching Sam on the news. Seeing him surf a missile, do all this crazy shit and didn’t move an inch because he knew sam could handle it.

But he dropped everything (RISKED MISSING HIS FLIGHT) and moved as quick as possible when Joaquin got hit because he knows what that’ll do to Sam.

He knows Sam can hold his own during the world saving shit, but it’s during the quiet moments that Bucky knows he’ll always be needed by Sam. And he’ll oblige everytime without even thinking about it.

From my internet sleuthing, they seem to think it’s an honor for Sam. He’s built up as a magical negro, which is a cousin to the model minority trope, where since Sam is a genuinely good man, it’s an “honor” for him to be good to Bucky, no matter what. Like they’re doing his character a favor for making him a “positive” stereotype. And underneath all that, it feels very much like their fingertips are itching to say we should be happy they don’t make them a negative stereotype. It’s very insidious.

Oh gross. Tbh there is always some underlying threat if you really look at it. Like that whole "would you rather us not included him at all?" I mean yeah, if you're going to write him like THAT then please don't? It's kind of like they're doing him a favor by even thinking of him.

It's clear that they really don't like Sam, like genuinely they hate the guy. And we all know why but whatever. I just don't understand why those folks keep on writing and shipping sambucky. There are so many other characters you can ship bucky with, don't ship him at all, or just stick to stucky.

It's truly no skin off our backs if they leave Sam be and go on their merry way. We're encouraging it atm.

Well here's the thing, sambuckies who have no interest in shipping stucky shouldn't have to deal with harassment and stuckies clogging up their tag just to tell them how much sambucky should really just be friends. There is hate because we can't go a goddamn day in this fandom without a stucky or bucky stan spewing hateful racist shit about Sam or trying to debunk this ship as platonic. That's why there is hate. And I'll continue to hate.

I always kinda fixate on how Sam’s gaze lingers condescendingly on Steve after he delivers this line, and it’s produced this headcanon where after the VA scene, Sam and Steve go out on a date and hit it off really well and go back to Sam’s place and bang, but Steve wakes up while Sam is still making breakfast and is like “I’m sorry to do this, but I have to go” and is apologetic and cringe-y and Sam kinda watches him dubiously with his spatula in hand but is like “alright, man, see you around.” Whether Steve left because he got cold feet or a mission kinda varies in my head. But it makes Sam’s “if u EAT breakfast u fuckin shit” face in this scene (and the startled but slightly reserved way he initially answers the door) funnier to me.

Yall really ain't got nothing original, huh?

Because I'm sick of the 'Bucky falls for whoever dons the mantle' trope. The idolizing idiot yall stans turn him into and instead of a man with discerning tastes fer those he's attracted to.

It just feels like that's the only way in yall simple minds that Bucky could ever be attracted to both Steve and Sam, as if that alone is their one commonality.

But nevermind how he never, not once thought about jumping Walker's bones. He maybe thought about breaking and/or crushing them, tho.

Just another glaring reason why you don't even like the one yall stan and go to pointless battle over everyday. You don't really like him, nor Steve, and you sure as fuck don't like Sam.
