as promised dangerously close to a month ago, here's a weird doodle I made of parrotfish!gabriel with a seaweed mustache something something he's in disguise. also the implications behind him serving sashimi are Noteworthy and more weird than idk flirty or whatever it was supposed to be in the show with the kielbasa fjhkf. I know way too much about fish I could talk about them for so long it's actually crazy

in one of those moods where I hate everything I create which has lasted significantly longer than it usually has in the past. also just been too busy to do any hobbies or anything so there's that. the only drawing I've been doing lately is for studying purposes I'm afraid chat. also I accidentally got into a new fandom but don't feel brave enough to try drawing for it and then there's the whole back of my mind thought of 'oh no all of three people followed me for content in fandom X they won't wanna see fandom Y' that prevented me from dipping into other fandoms in the past and yeah idk what I'm yapping about anymore ignore me

because dumb fish are easy to draw and I have no time and I'm also somewhat Abnormal about aquatic life anyway (don't ask). Sam was gonna be like a betta or catfish something something boring fish with long 'hair' (the hair being fins or barbels) but idk he deserves to be a swordtail too, if only for family relationship reasons. now I'm thinking of all the angels being different types of angelfish and Gabriel's idea of going underground to hide away is like transforming into a parrotfish or something equally eye-searing and dopey looking I mean what

I realized I never drew the characters from my splatoon au in their swim forms and my brain did not want to let me forget that once I realized it. so yeah that's why this exists as well as a certain fondness for regular octopus!cas content. hopefully splatoonoctopus!cas content also works? stole this fic for the @deancaspinefest and decided to dump art all over it for funsies (and because I thought I had an extra week of winter break that I didn't actually have oops)

spoiler but the cat is a big part of this fic so get used to it existing. also it is absolutely eyeing up something on that table that's about to get knocked over and/or torn apart. the website Rover has a minor role in this fic so I based the title color and the paw print off of Rover's logo and definitely didn't originally mess the title up by thinking the fic was called 'if only cats could talk' idk blame the rapidly vanishing winter break

uh oh it's me pretending I can draw nature again, made worse by the addition of a park bench. that being said I feel like the way the cat and squirrel are staring at each other is a destiel fic just waiting to exist but alas, I shall ignore it. also fun fact but I designed Dean and Cas' shirts to kinda half allude to the fact that they never stop thinking of each other, hence why Cas' shirt has a cowboy bee on it and Dean's is just a mouth something something he wants to make out and can't stop looking at Cas' lips for 2 seconds (also that was one of the easier band logos to draw I mean what)

welcome to another instance of the shirt design speaking for the characters, though that's only true with Dean's shirt having something to do with angels (which isn't relevant in this fic since it's a human AU but any spn fan will probably get it so). I have no idea why Sam's sweater is a cactus with ornaments on it. also I think this couch actually came out looking almost like a couch so yay for that. also also the picture on the wall is supposed to be one of Sam and Dean but I literally only alluded to that with the colors and nothing else

speaking of backgrounds, please don't speak of this background in which I tried to draw a vineyard and this just ain't it cuh :/ (it could've been so much worse though as we've already established I can't draw nature). also this is the point where I realized Dean has been on the same side in all of these art pieces and honestly I have no idea why it turned out like that, that wasn't a conscious thing I decided to do it just kinda happened. oh well

uh oh forced to draw furniture guys but thankfully nothing exploded too much. realized early on that I really messed up the scaling and stuff when I initially had the table further back in a way that made it seem like it was pushed right up against the kitchen counter and stove and very nearly was too lazy to fix that but alas. really went crazy with the disaster of a title that was originally going to be syrup before I decided to make it look like the words themselves are pancakes and idk how they got so decorated with everything except syrup but yeah that's a thing

decided I wanted to draw store shelves apparently and promptly spent way too much time making the boxes and generic names because that was obviously the most important thing to add. these don't look much like supermarket colors but let's ignore that because it was either this or like boring white so I took my pick

got the chance to pinch hit for the @spnangelbang for the excuse of drawing Adam as a unicorn which is something I didn't realize I needed to draw, a bold move for someone who can't draw horses. also even though this art looks weirdly...idk like it is, the fic is kinda dark so keep that in mind

for the first time I made a banner that doesn't involve a table or tree let's goo. decided to make this one a map with various fic-related elements on it (plus the band from the fic connecting the words in the title) and tried to kinda show the age of it by adding smudgy ink spots and a coffee stain and yeah idrk what I was doing here but the inspiration was an old map with fairytale-y vibes. this was made back when I thought the fic was more of a fairytale but it's actually not all that much of one. basically there's a reason the unicorn is black and it's not for aesthetic purposes

picked up this fic because unicorn reasons and unicorn reasons has manifested in the form of an art piece, albeit with a smaller canvas because I was on a bit of a time crunch. went crazy with layers on the background of this and idk how it turned out looking half decent when I'm pretty sure my eyes were at least a quarter of the way closed while I was doing this because it was very late. also Michael was supposed to be invisible but I couldn't make it look decent so he's just hiding behind the tree instead. also also I know his hair looks kinda like Dean's I can't stop thinking about that fact okay. also also also that other dude in the dark green robe is an OC from the fic and idk why he gives me Metatron vibes but he's very much not

this fic ended up being a lot darker than I thought it was gonna be so the art doesn't entirely match the vibe, especially since my art style tends to struggle with making things overly angsty or serious. I made another art piece to try to make up for that and came up with this. I don't think I've ever tried to draw a pained expression or anything even resembling cuts on someone's skin so it does look a bit wonky. tried to mirror the other art piece by having Michael in a similar position except actually somewhat in Adam's line of sight. this scene was originally a little more idk romantic I guess but that didn't fit the vibe of the fic too much and man I think I definitely went overboard with all the cuts (although that brush seems like a good fit for this kind of thing, gotta keep that in mind)

I added a new thing to the Impossible to Draw List: umbrellas. also rain but idk I think it maybe turned out like a quarter of the way decent and it's been raining here a lot and I wanted to attempt Rain, for better or for worse. also also I did in fact change Cas' design from last time and I'll probably keep doing so. the 'v' shaped feathers are too hard to draw ,_,
