This Aztec earspool, one of a pair, is outstanding for its craftsmanship and perfection. It is carved out of obsidian, a brittle volcanic glass. The two earspools are not only completely circular and symmetrical but also exactly the same size and thickness. The carvers had such skill in working obsidian they were able to achieve a thickness of less than one millimetre.

$80 games. fucking eighty USD for a game that, to my knowledge, does not contain any new expensive chips or technology. to make matters worse, you're paying that much money for a cartridge that doesn't even have the game on it. you're paying $80 for a download code on a card that requires you to connect to the internet first in order to play the game you dropped nearly $100 on.

this was always going to be the logical end point of companies trying out $70 games. now they realise people will pay anything and it's definitely going to get worse from here. it's like 90's game prices but there's no special chips or production things that make the price of a cartridge even more expensive. you are paying $80 to ask for permission to play a game you bought lol.

to make it all so much more insulting the boxes are fucking ugly as hell too, looking like a super scuffed "greatest hits" type thing by default with the massive banner on the front taking up nearly 25% of the little box. literally what is the incentive to buy a $500 console and an $80 game with the same cuntless nothing minimal UI and designs as the last one. if there's any fairness left in the world this thing will be cracked wide open year one.

clicking open image in new tab used to actually open the image instead of a shitty webpage that you can't zoom with giant bars on the top and bottom telling you to download an app. isn't that something.
