Modern AU: Griffith misses his ex and he’s going to make it everyone else’s problem.

Excerpt:

“I’ve only sent the video to you so far,” he says, swiping the back of his hand across his nose. It comes away red and sticky. “Whether it stops there or not is up to you.”

“I don’t understand you.” Guts looks like he wants to deck him again… but he sublimates the urge on the closest wall. It’s giving mafia don whose second cousin died in a territorial dispute. Some paint flakes off; some drywall crumbles. “Damn you! You’re the king of Silicon Valley. Falconia Inc.’s stocks are doing numbers this year — and from what the press is sayin’, you’re set to take over Kushan Enterprises, too. Why isn’t that enough? Huh? What do you want from me? Why the fuck isn’t that enough?”

“That’s a good question.” Griffith’s lips twitch sadly. “I don’t know.”
