Under maintenance
I wanted to come on and wish our beloved Moya a happy birthday in whichever paradise they rest in. Losing Moya was a hard hit to our community.
If you are able, I ask that you try and donate to the Trevor Project in their memory. If you are unable, just keep them in your thoughts today with love.

'This won't work, this isn't widespread, nobody knows, we're in a bubble, blah blah blah' my mom, a 64 year old lady with no social media whose first language is spanish, told me about this before tumblr did, and said we are going to participate.
I've seen flyers for this in real life. Do it.
I looked up the media coverage, because it's a good way to know if this will be counterculture and easily ignored, or mainstream as people who might not see it elsewhere will hear it in the news.
Holy shit, y'all.
DO IT.
Forbes is handwringing. When Forbes handwrings, they're scared. Media Bias Fact Check rates them least biased and mostly factual, and slightly right politically, with high credibility.
The Root, a magazine about Black culture, available in English, Spanish, and French. Media Bias Fact Check rates them left-biased, mostly factual, and high credibility.
USA TODAY, and USA TODAY, and USA TODAY. For those of you who don't travel often, you should know this is the physical newspaper you're most likely to find in a middle-class hotel or a truck stop. This is their online edition, but the large amount of coverage suggests it may be in their print edition, too.
AZ Central on two different days. This is my "local" paper (it's the online edition of rhetorical Arizona Republic), but by local I mean it is statewide with a large readership and its articles often get picked up and cited as a reputable source by national media.
An editorial for MSN News urging people to take part.
I'm also seeing a lot of coverage in the kind of tiny little papers that serve just a couple of counties, where those towns will be buckling under the weight of greedflation and corpofedual policies and the residents will be ready to raise hell. States I'm seeing represented by these include North Carolina, western New York, Louisiana, New Jersey, and Ohio. Notice something interesting there? It's states from all across the political spectrum.
It's going to be a thing. Take part.
I feel like maisy mouse should get more love on here I think she'd be besties with snoopy, miffy, etc.
look at her she's so cute

"Pride month is over"
WRONG! Your pride month is over! Me and all the other disabled queers are having pride month two: disability edition
Reblogging this again bc people in the notes are asking a lot of "Am I included? Am I disabled if I have x?" and I just wanted to add the flag here to show people who the pride month is for.
This is the new flag, the old one was more vivid and in a z shape, but it's been made more neutral to be inclusive of people with seizures or sensory issues.
Each stripe represents a different aspect of disability:
Red: Physical disabilities
Yellow: Cognitive & intellectual disabilities
White: (And this is the key one I think) Invisible AND undiagnosed disabilities
Blue: Mental illnesses
Green: Sensory disabilities
If you're autistic or have ADHD? this is your pride month. If you have a mental illness, it's your pride month. If you're hard of hearing, this is your pride month. If you have an autoimmune disorder, this is your pride month. If you are not diagnosed with anything but you know something is up with you: THIS IS STILL YOUR PRIDE MONTH.

“Come into town with me,” Sam said, looking right at Isaac over the breakfast table.
Isaac’s hand tightened in a fist around his cereal spoon. “Um…” He glanced at Gavin, who sat next to him. Gray had already eaten breakfast hours ago and was out on a walk.
In the wake of the devastating news of Moya’s passing, I wanted to make something that we as a community could gather around. One of the difficulties of death on the internet is the lack - of answers, of closure, of even a place to visit.
If anyone would like to, you’re welcome to visit this memorial website. I made it, but I don’t own it. It doesn’t belong to me. I encourage everyone to share their favorite memories of Moya, their art, and grieve together. I’ve linked crisis lines if people feel they need more support (which I completely understand.) I’ve also linked an opportunity to donate to The Trevor Project, a charity that specializes in helping LGBTQ+ youth and teens when they’re in crisis. They just began serving Mexico (Moya’s home country) last year. Granted, Moya was not a teen, but I think they would appreciate the gesture. If you’re not able to donate, that’s completely ok too. Please don’t feel obligated, I just wanted to create the opportunity for people who might want it.
Moya will be missed so much. I hope this helps ease the pain of that, just a little bit.
A few people have checked in with me and I’m doing ok. Thank you. I’d like to share Moya’s memorial page again for those who would like to visit. Please donate to the Trevor Project through the link on the page if you can.
Please be good to each other.
I don’t usually make posts like this but I feel like it’s right for the community to know about and block this person.
@helpful-writing-tips has been stealing people’s posts, including posts from the whump community, and posting them without consent (sometimes with credit but often without).
I’ve tried to reach out to them directly and discuss how what they’re doing goes against tumblr etiquette and isn’t acceptable but I’ve received no response and I feel like people should be able to prevent their work being stolen for notes.
