Rosmarys Dating Advice

The darkened sun started to set on the simple southern town of Maya, the clouds rolled into the pink, orange, and purple hues in the sky as night started to slowly fall. A couple of short miles outside of Maya was a small hut, a wooden hut that clearly was made with care, smoke filled the chimney and the lights from lanterns illuminated it's entrance.
Hipswitch walked onto the rocky steps of the house, knocking on the door with a metal hand, making a small "clink" sound as wood came in contact with metal, Another Obscuran opened the door. Rosemary had opened the door and leaned against the doorframe, for an android like herself, she certainly wasn't as robotic as other robotic citizens of Maya. She wore a pink haircap (which she didn't need) and pink pajamas adorned with roses. Her eyes widened when she saw one of her best friends within the town.
"Hipswitch?!" She exclaimed before returning a big hug, spinning for a moment before playfully hitting him on the arm, a mettalic clunk from two metals hitting each other. "What took you so damn long?"
Hipswitch chuckled for a moment before walking inside, making sure his boots were clean. "Didn't you invite me here? Thought you enjoyed my company"
"Well I do! But you've got to give a girl a moment to clean up!". She began to go up her staircase to go change.
"No no it's fine! Dont-". He was too late, she had already slammed the door to God knows where. "And she's gone..."
Hipswitch waited on the couch for a moment before she came back downstairs, holding a magnitude of items.
"Alright I have pillows, blankets, the movie... and ohh! I bought us some oil in case we get thirsty-"
"We're robots, Rosie, we don't get thirsty" hipswitch said calmly with a hint of humour.
"Well 'scuse me for tryin' to be thoughtful" she sat next to him on the floor and threw a pillow at him, which he caught no problem.
Hipswitch cleared his voice before talking, opening his can of oil with a hiss. "So how's your old man feeling? Any news with him?"
Rosemary's personality shifted for just a second, feeling a bit somber. "He's doin' fine.. can't say he hasn't been better but it's a slow recover."
"Well you know me and the other fellas got your back in all this. 'Specially Doc."
"Yeah, Doc has been a big help with everything..." she said with a hint of thankfulness tinged on her voice.
As their movie started to play, Hipswitch fidgeted with the collar of his jacket, the joints within his mechanical fingers creaking slightly, his mind clearly somewhere else or on someone.... he WAS out of focus until his hat got snatched from his head. "Hey!" He exclaimed.
Rosemary laughed and threw the hat onto the couch pillow. "What? You look fine without it, besides your head has been in the clouds ever since we turned the damned television on" she sighed and scooted away a bit, pausing the movie "what's on your mind, switchy?"
Hipswitch paused before leaning back, snatching his hat back and placing back on his metal dome. "Well, this is gonna sound so stupid but-"
"There's a new bounty? More zombies? Another epic adventure with chaos and destruction?!" Rosemary asked with excitement.
"Eh not really, but it's equally troublin'" hipswitch said. "You've been in relationships before... how long have you been with that chick... Goldie? Yeah right Goldie."
Rosemary's mood spiked, now happier than before. "Oh we've been together for a couple weeks now! Why you askin' though?" Rosemary then gasped and put her hands on his shoulders and shook him back and forth "YOU LIKE SOMEONE!". She laughed and sat back onto the couch.
"Who is it huh Switchy? Is it a girl? Is she pretty?" Rosemary was giddy, clapping her hands like a child.
Hipswitch already regretted his decision but he was in way to deep. "Yeah yeah let's go with that." He said a bit nervously before going back to normal. "Yeah I like someone, that's kinda the reason I dropped on by".
Rosemary squeeled with excitement before saying "Yes yes! Well my dearest friend, you've come to the right place!" She plopped onto the couch and crossed her legs "so spill, what are they like?"
Hipswitchs eyes exposed him as when he started talking, his voice got smoother and more relaxed. "Well this gu- gal, I mean gal.. they are the most beautiful person I've ever laid eyes on, they aren't the most well spoken individual but boy do they get their point across. This person..they have saved my ass more times then I could count..I just can't bring myself to say a damn word to them."
Rosemary thought for a second before placing a hand in his shoulder "Well have you talked with them?"
"Oh I've talked to them tons, spoken my heart out and everythin"
"Well Switchy when you say you "spoke your heart out" that could mean a lot of things-"
"Whats that supposed to imply, Rosie?"
"Well you can be quite blunt you know."
Hipswitch rolled his eyes but asked again. "But what should I do? This guy- GAL! this gal has been actin' strange around me, during one bounty we got stuck in a tight corridor together and they ended up on top of me-"
Rosemary nearly choked "WHAT?!" She got up and grabbed him by the shoulders. "I've known you for a while and I never expected you to be this stupid"
"As if you are any better-"
"HEY! you want my advice or not?" Rosemsry crossed her arms as her foot tapped against the floor.
Hipswitch leaned back and sighed, "sure, hit me with it then".
Rosemary sighed before speaking. "Well they OBVIOUSLY like you back! I mean I'm a lesbian but for a robot you are a hunk." She sipped her motor oil before continuing. "But to make it simple, my advice is to be patient, I mean you have already been so slow coming to terms with this but it's best to be slow, make small gestures like getting her a drink or grabbing her small items she likes, even spending quality time with them is a good start." Rosemary then looked him in the eye, "and don't you damn feel like just because you ain't human you ain't worth it, when I met Goldie, I learned that I ain't defined by what I'm made of".
Hipswitch mellowed in her advice before giving her a hug "thanks partner, you're a good friend".
Rosemary smiled and returned the hug "Well duh, I'm one of the only ones you have-" she laughed.
"Ha ha very funny-" Hipswitch said sarcastically before heading out the door into the cool night once again. "Thanks again for the advice, Rosie."
Rosemary leaned against the doorframe again "not a problem, but I'm keeping the movie this week". The two shared a laugh before Rosemary closed the door and Hipswitch walked away and met Albus, Mahatma, and Karmor nearby.
Rosemary saw from her window the way Hipswitch looked at Karmor, she then noticed that Karmor was mute and was using sign language and it clicked. "Ain't good with words...' she said under he breath until she gasped and hit her hand against the window.
"YOURE GAY! YOU ARE SO GAY YOU COWBOY LOOKING ASSHOLE-"
Hipswitch heard her and then walked away with Karmor, Albus, and Doc as quickly as he came.
Albus then spoke up as they walked back, noticing the change in Hipswitchs mood. "what's with you, Switchy? Don't usually see you so giddy and whatnot. Anything going on in that domed head of yours?".
Hipswitch caught a glance at Karmor, seeing him happy and smiling back.
"Yeah...I guess there is."

WOW I have been gone for a long long time. Sorry for the wait everyone! I've been busy with lots of things but I will be posting more and more soon! Expect more art and an April fools post! :D
