How about the nekoma team’s reaction to Yaku’s s/o being the libero for nekoma’s female team?? So maybe the team doesn’t know he’s dating anyone and out of nowhere the girl’s libero comes up to him and give him a little kiss, what would be their reaction? Who would freak out or get confused and who would just be calm about it?? I’m a sucker for the reaction of others so if you want to change anything go ahead I just want to know how the others would take the news

  • kuroo chokes on his water when the cute libero from the girls team kisses yaku on the cheek before leaving their gym for her own practice. he quickly composes himself and saunters over to him, leaning against his shoulder in that way he knows yaku hates and wiggling his eyebrows at him. the loud smack kuroo makes when he hits the ground (yaku walked away and let him fall) is enough to draw everyones attention to the two
  • the only other person to have witnessed yaku’s girlfriend coming in to chat with him before leaving was yamamoto, and his viewing of the event was enough. the entire team knows within seconds, but yaku doesn’t seem at all bothered. he’s smiling, especially when he realizes yamamoto has tears in his eyes. “she’s so pretty yakkun. you are truly blessed.”
  • lev is completely confused (he missed the whole thing since he was in the bathroom) and is filled in by shibayama. kenma plugs his ears just in time to block out lev’s loud exclamations of “how did yaku-san get a girlfriend with his height?”
  • kai and kurro quickly move to hold yaku back
  • fukunaga is the only one that seemed to have already known. he quietly tells kenma that he’s friends with the middle blocker on the girls team and she’s the one who’d told him
  • kai has the only remotely normal reaction—he claps yaku on the back and smiles at him.
  • after recovering from the initial shock, inuoka and lev are crowding yaku and pestering him about how to get a girlfriend. yaku eventually gets annoyed and yells at them to get back to practice before he kicks their asses

omgomg how about a first date scenario with goshiki and he plans out this entire schedule but it goes wrong at the last minute ( like bad weather or sum ) and he feels so bad 💔💔 then it just ends with cuddles and fluff or something 💕💕 i hope this wasnt too specific!! ( fem! reader pls lol ) -🪴

this was perfect, thanks for sending this in!!! this is my first goshiki request 😳 hope you like it!!!

He’d been planning this week for months.

Once he realized he had a crush on Y/N, Goshiki knew he wasn’t going to keep quiet about it. Just to be safe, though, he’d consulted a few of his upperclassmen when he found that his nerves were getting the better of him.

“Of course they like you back!” Tendo had grinned at him. “You guys spend lots of time together, I thought you were already dating.”

“Can’t hurt to ask,” Semi had said, looking at him curiously. “Why’d you ask me? Did Taichi ignore you?” Taichi had just sent him a “go for it” text when he’d asked, and that hadn’t been enough to soothe Goshiki’s nerves. He hadn’t felt this nervous in a long time—not even during a match. Tendo and Semi facetime calls were enough to raise his spirits once more.

So he started planning how he’d ask Y/N out (the easier part) and where he would take them for a first date (the harder part). The perfect day came quickly, when it was just the two of them enjoying lunch together, without their usual group of friends with them. And to his delight, they’d agreed to go out on a date with him that weekend. Goshiki had walked them home after that, holding their hand the whole way. Then he’d ran home, suddenly filled with adrenaline and happiness.

The whole date was planned—Goshiki and Y/N just had to actually participate in it. The weather had been especially nice lately, and it was supposed to be clear skies that weekend, so he happily adjusted the original date plan to be primarily outdoors. Walking through the park, stopping by the outdoor cafes along the way, and even visiting a farmer’s market Goshiki knew Y/N loved going to.

The night before the date he texted Y/N he’d be at their place at 10AM, ready to spend the whole day with them. They ended up talking late into the night, and Goshiki fell asleep with a smile on his face that was immediately erased when he woke up the next morning.

He woke up to the impossibly loud pattering of rain against his window. He immediately reached for his phone. Y/N had already sent them a message urging him to still come over to their place. We can spend the day here if you don’t mind!! I have lots of snacks and we can watch a movie :))

So Goshiki changed into something comfortable (Y/N stressed this was going to be a jean-free date) and grabbed his umbrella, hurrying all the way to Y/N’s warm apartment.

When he arrived, slightly damp from the rain that had managed to get him, Y/N swung open their door before he could knock, a wide smile on their face. They were also dressed comfortably in sweatpants and a hoodie, a blanket wrapped around their shoulders. Goshiki was ushered inside and handed a cup of warm tea, which immediately warmed him up.

“I had the whole day planned,” Goshiki sighed as he gratefully gripped his cup of tea. “We were going to walk through the park, eat at those nice outdoor cafes…”

“Hey, we can go another day!” Y/N reassured him, sitting down next to him on the couch with their own cup of tea. “Today let’s take advantage of the rainy day, yeah?”

Goshiki’s spirits had been lifted the second Y/N said they could go on another date later. He nodded enthusiastically and let himself be wrapped up in Y/N’s blanket. They drank their tea in comfortable silence, watching the TV show that was playing on the TV. Goshiki was highly aware of his shoulders touching Y/N’s, and of their arms touching—

Y/N shifted in their seat as they laughed at something a character said, and Goshiki thought his heart would beat out of his chest at how nice their laugh sounded and at how warm their body felt against his.

Soon they’d finished their tea and had rearranged themselves on the couch—Goshiki had bashfully lifted the blanket as he laid back on the couch and Y/N smiled, understanding what he wanted. They sat down close to him and leaned their head onto his chest, snuggling closer as he wrapped the other half of the blanket around them too.

“I’m kinda glad it rained now,” Goshiki mumbled, yawning as sudden drowsiness overcame him. Y/N cuddling against him made him feel even warmer than he already was, and the opening song for the TV show they were currently enjoying was a nice slow melody that made him relax. Y/N breathed out a laugh tapping his hand with their finger idly. “This is nice.”

“Mhmm,” Goshiki smiled, hoping the rain would continue a little while longer so he’d have more excuses to cuddle up with Y/N to keep warm.

hey thanks for sending this in!! I haven’t written a request in a while and this was super refreshing to write, so thank you!!

The first few weeks adjusting to his new life went much better than he’d expected. He was way too busy meeting his new teammates, unpacking, and getting a feel of this new country he’d be living in, to think of anything other than the tasks he was focusing on. But when he went to bed three weeks after moving in, he wasn’t as tired as he had been, and his mind wandered to a conversation he’d had with Iwa-chan two weeks ago.

Iwa-chan had called to check in on him, to see how he was settling in. Oikawa almost started crying—he was so relieved to hear a familiar voice. And piled on top of that was the lingering regret of the breakup. Now that he’d arrived in his new empty apartment, with no one to call or talk to, he was missing Y/N more than ever. He didn’t think that was possible, but the ache in his chest was so much stronger than it had been when they were dating and they weren’t together. He remembered that ache well; lying awake restless at night thinking of what Y/N was doing in that instant until he caved and would send them a text, and they’d immediately respond, teasing him for missing them.

Oikawa didn’t ask about Y/N, and Iwa-chan didn’t bring it up. He knew Iwa-chan would yell at him if he dared to ask about them, and this killed his dwindling courage to ask. Iwa-chan said he’d check in later in the month if he wasn’t busy, and when he hung up Oikawa was left with the ringing silence of his apartment.

Two months later he started training with his new teammates, and the time spent alone with his thoughts lessened considerably. On off days he took to wandering around the city exploring, or finding plants to fill his apartment with, remembering the window sill of his mom’s kitchen back home and the way it was always filled with plants.

But no matter what he did, he couldn’t forget about Y/N. He’d downloaded dating apps and gone on a couple of dates, and no matter how much he enjoyed them he couldn’t bring himself to agree to a second date. He was starting to get frustrated with himself, scared he’d let it start to affect his playing. But none of his teammates or coach had yet to say anything about it, which relieved him.

Before he knew it his off season was here, and he’d listen quietly to his teammates talk about returning home for a while to visit family. Oikawa still hadn’t decided if he’d leave for Japan. He did miss his family, but he also had a nagging feeling as though he should stay for now. He mentioned it to Iwa-chan through text in passing, and received a heated reply nearly a week later.

Stupidkawa. Stop being such a wuss, if you run into Y/N nothing bad will happen. When are you coming back, I might be able to kick your ass if I’m home at the same time as you.

This earned a laugh out of Oikawa. Unfortunately, though their schedules didn’t match up. But Oikawa made up his mind to head home for a bit. His parents were delighted, and Takeru was already making plans for playing volleyball with him as soon as he landed.

He left his plants under the care of one of his teammates who was staying in the city and then he was off, catching his flight just before it left and settling into his seat with his stomach filled with nerves. He knew they weren’t about the flight—he was unnervingly nonchalant about airplanes. Oikawa was nervous about the small chance he’d run into Y/N, and what he’d say to them.

When their relationship was all he thought about, he practically had an apology memorized. That was months ago, though, and now he had no clue what he’d say to them.

When he landed, Takeru and his older sister were there to take him home, and Oikawa felt his eyes teared up as he hugged them. He loved his apartment and his new friends, but now he was realizing he truly had missed home. The first few days back in Japan were a blur. Oikawa spent a lot of it telling stories to Takeru and playing volleyball with him, and helping his mom cook. He even made plans to meet up with old friends in the next few weeks. Things to look forward to.

One Saturday he found himself in an empty house. His parents had gone out to watch a movie together, and his sister and Takeru were busy at their own house, so he had the day to himself. His feet carried him out the door and down familiar streets. Streets he’d walked with Y/N, places they’d frequented often.

He scanned faces as he crossed streets and peeked into stores, unconsciously searching for them.

Until he finally found them.

He was grabbing lunch at one of his favorite small restaurants, the one he’d not so coincidentally brought Y/N on for their first date. He was settling down to wait for his food when he glanced up to see someone who’d just walked into the restaurant. They turned to look at him, as if drawn toward him, and when their eyes met Oikawa's his breath caught in his throat and his heartbeat sped up.

Y/N froze, eyes still trained on him, their expression unreadable. Oikawa was sure he was gaping at them like a fish, and he even felt his cheeks warming up slightly. He quickly glanced away, choosing to look intently at his phone, pretending to scroll through it. Anything to avoid eye contact. He hears Y/N order and sees them sit down at a nearby table out of the corner of his eye. He can’t tell if they’re looking over at him. He sincerely hopes not.

Months of suppressing feelings begins to bubble up inside of him to the point where he feels unwell. A waiter brings him his food and he barely manages a thank you despite feeling infinitely grateful for a new distraction.

He swears he can feel Y/N watching him as he starts to eat. He’s glad he can’t see them well. If he could actually see them glaring at him he doesn’t know if he could ever recover. As he eats Oikawa tries to talk himself into going over to talk to them, finally apologizing for what he did. Because that had been his biggest regret of all— making Y/N feel as though they weren’t even worth his time. They were everything to him, and in the end he hadn’t shown that at all.

He stands up abruptly just as the waiter is handing Y/N their to-go order. Shit. Oikawa hadn’t been paying attention. Of course they wouldn’t be eating here.

He walks to where they are still sitting as the waiter scurries off. “Can I sit?” He almost sighs in relief when Y/N gives him a small nod.

“I am truly sorry for how I ended things. You didn’t deserve my shitty excuse of a breakup and the shitty way I told you, especially because you meant so much to me. I should’ve told you in person, and not doing so is my fault and I’m so sorry.” He exhales as he finishes, relaxing his shoulders as though the weight of his regret has literally been lifted off. “I don’t expect you to accept my apology or say anything, I just needed to apologize to you. It killed me that I didn’t get the chance to when I left.”

He moves to get up, to shamefully walk back to his table and drink some of his water to get rid of his dry throat, when Y/N puts their hand up, as if wanting to reach over to stop him. He freezes, watching them as they quickly retract their outstretched hand, letting it rest in their lap.

“I know that’s not how you wanted things to go. I’m sorry I never gave you the chance to apologize. And I’m sorry I ignored your calls and text messages. Iwaizumi called me, you know.” Oikawa flinches at this. “He told me how sad you sounded on the phone. He wanted me to at least hear you out, but I was still so heartbroken I refused. A lot of the hurt is my fault, too. So I’m sorry, Tooru.”

They move to stand up, grabbing their bag of take out. Oikawa stands too, moving out of their way after he pushes his chair in. Y/N is watching him, eyes trained on his every move as he sits back at his table a few feet away. They move closer, a small smile on their lips. “I’ll call you later, is that okay?”

He desperately needs that drink of water now. He manages a nod, and Y/N smiles in farewell before leaving. The sound of the bell above the door rings in his ear long after they’re gone, and he welcomes it, thankful for any other ringing besides the silence of his once lonely apartment.

Anonymous asked:

give me some good shit with oikawa angst #6. please, i beg of you 😣😣

Shit. Shit shit shit shit shit.

“The number you dialed—” Shit.

He decides to leave a message since he’s getting desperate at this point. The tears of frustration are so close to falling and his throat is impossibly tight. But he will not cry in the airport surrounded by strangers. He won’t.

“Hi Y/N. I know you won’t reply to my calls, and I don’t blame you. And I know you’re tired of hearing this, since I know Iwa-chan told me you don’t wanna hear from me anymore. But I’m really sorry. You deserved better and I’m sorry I left you like I did.” The beep sounds just as he finishes and he rests his phone on his lap, feeling even worse than before.

His trip had been planned suddenly and in his hurry to get everything situated and find a place to live when he landed, he’d forgotten completely to tell Y/N. Not only to tell them that he was leaving, but that he was breaking up with them.

He’d been so busy the last few weeks, and to be frank, the two had been drifting apart for months but stayed together anyway. At least, that’s how he saw it. Oikawa had told Y/N over the phone that he wanted to break up yesterday, and he’d done it horribly. They were talking about plans for the summer and Oikawa had just blurted it out right then and there, providing no gentle build up at all and to top it all off, his phone died right as Y/N started to speak.

It took way too long for his phone to turn back on, and by then Y/N had sent a simple text message.

“Okay.”

But it wasn’t okay, because Oikawa hadn’t had any sleep that night and here he was sitting at the gate for his flight, still torn up about something he had been so sure of last week.

He’d never felt this confused over something in his entire life. He tried calling Y/N dozens of times and left messages saying that was NOT how he wanted to tell them, and he really wanted to talk to them about their relationship more before breaking up. But Y/N hadn’t replied or even read his texts for all he knew.

Oikawa had begged Iwaizumi to ask them, and his old friend had reported that they didn’t want to mend what little of a relationship was left.

Oikawa dials again, feeling the tears threatening to fall once more. His flight leaves in fifteen minutes, and he can’t think of a way to stay sane through the plane ride at this point.

To his surprise he hears the line connect.

“Y/N—”

Forget it, you’re a fucking asshole. You couldn’t have told me earlier? So I wouldn’t have had to waste the last few months of my life trying to make it work even though you knew it was never going to? Enjoy your new life, Tooru. I will.”

He doesn’t realize he’s crying until he feels a tear drop down his chin, startling him back to the reality that he’s sitting in a hustling airport about to move to a new country. Completely alone.
