"Were you this... this when you were getting ready?"
"Oh, definitely," Alex's smile was warm and understanding as she swiftly untied the bowtie at her sister's neck. She flipped her collar up with deft fingers, draping the blue silk expertly before folding her collar back down, knotting it with precise motions. "Mom had to talk me down at least three times. I convinced myself Sam wasn't even going to show up, but at least this is your house! Lena's already here, you don't have to worry about that."
"Unless she snuck out," Kara quipped, brow wrinkling a little, "Didn't see the Iron-Maiden suit fly out earlier did you?" She sighed and watched Alex fix her bowtie in the mirror trying to memorize the motions but they were lost on her. Her brain felt fuzzy. Staticy.
She was nervous. Anxious, too, of course. After all, she was getting married today.
