OH OH
BUDDIE / BATHENA PARALLEL TIME.
Both Eddie and Athena were the only ones who remembered Hen’s birthday. And both Buck and Bobby turned to them like, “wait you remembered? You didn’t tell me??”
No bc you guys don’t understand. The reason I’m so confident in Buddie happening is bc everyone is openly talking about them now. All the journalists, the news articles, the actors, and even the show runner are openly discussing the possibility of Buddie. And they’re not necessarily shutting it down. I’ve been following the show since the beginning and Buddie used to be a forbidden taboo word. They would bring it up but only to shut it down or like allude to a possibility but never was it this front and center. Never did the actors discuss their curiosity for whether or not their characters will end up. And the entire will they/won’t they thing along with Tim literally saying “not right away” about their potential romantic feelings, and every fucking scene we’ve seen of them this season screams Buddie is happening. They’re moving ahead and in a way that’s not only obvious to longtime fans but to the general audience as well. Everyone is talking about it. And with the season 9 renewal, it makes sense to finally make Buddie happen and lock in the audience attention for when they come back next season. I literally can’t imagine this season not ending with either a feelings realization that’s blatantly stated, or even a confession. It’s happening, I’ve never been more sure.
I'm still not over Eddie asking permission to hug Christopher. A lot of parents wouldn't. They would just hug their child thinking that physical intimacy is owed to them. But not Eddie. He checks to make sure Christopher is ok with it. And Christopher says yes. It's killing me. I'm so emotional 😭
I want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible strength, dedication and resilience you consistently demonstrate. Life often presents challenges that can feel overwhelming, but you navigate through them with wisdom and perseverance. Your ability to remain grounded, even in the face of adversity, is nothing short of inspiring.
Whether it's pushing through difficult tasks, finding solutions to problems, or supporting those around you, you do it with an unwavering commitment to excellence. It’s clear that your heart is in everything you do, and that sincerity shines through in the way you care for others and approach life with an open mind.
You are a person of deep character, someone who understands the value of hard work, the importance of kindness, and the power of resilience. It’s easy to admire someone who leads by example, who isn’t afraid to face their fears and continue to grow.
In a world that can sometimes feel uncertain, your presence is a steady reminder of what true strength looks like. Keep believing in yourself, because you have everything it takes to achieve your dreams. Your journey is a testament to your courage, and I have no doubt that you will continue to shine brightly, inspiring everyone you meet.

Chapter 8 of The Ones Who Remain is out!
Now featuring more Derek, more angst, and even possibly, maybe starting to figure out that maybe, just maybe some feelings might be there? Idk, you'll have to see.
And thank you to all who tolerate or better yet enjoy my love of my babies.
RYAN GUZMAN as EDMUNDO “EDDIE” DIAZ 9-1-1 - S08 E12 · Disconnected
New video of a call being filmed from yesterday.
Tommy is the Ben Hope of 9-1-1, there to contrast his romantic "rival" (who he never stood a chance against) and a person who seriously needs to work on himself, but Buck is not obligsted to help or facilitate that, and the series is not interested in showing it to us (and rightfully so).
And this comparison becomes more and more apt every time he pops back up again.
