Excerpt:

“I’ll try just a little bit of the filling now, before I go…” Crowley said, and he slipped his middle and index fingers into the gap in the meringue, the hole just wide enough to accommodate the girth of them. He plunged deeply into the core of it, coating his fingers with slick lemon custard, before withdrawing them again. He brought his hand to his mouth and ran his tongue over his fingers, twisting the forks between them to gather the filling into his mouth as indecently as he could.
