I've seen a lot of notifications come through of people liking and reblogging my posts from The Old Fandom (and even a few new followers due to this) and I just need to say...

I haven't participated with that fandom in two years. I don't reblog stuff about it. I don't write stuff about it. I make Doctor Who and Discworld stuff these days; if you're here for stuff about the little wizard boy books, you are following the wrong blog.

Oh, and I am still blocking people who like and reblog my old posts from that fandom. Just a heads up.

UGHHHHHH

Kaladin really is the character of all time. He's a Windrunner. He's a surgeon. He's a former slave. He is Stormblessed. He protects those who cannot protect themselves. He's depressed. He has PTSD. He's been actively suicidal. He invented group therapy. He says ridiculously dramatic things with 100% sincerity. He repeatedly forms tight knit groups out of people. He will be warm again. He's the most eligible bachelor on Roshar. He doesn't understand why women keep coming to the clinic just to see him. He couldn't save Tien. He saved his father. He recreated Die Hard. He is the spear that would not break.

I've had this idea in my head for months. I have a thing for crossovers, silly jokes, musicals and of course, the stormlight archive. No idea how Shallan and Adolin dragged Kal into this though.

Now thinking about how there's DEFINITELY going to be a portion of people who refuse to believe Kaladin is dead. Presumed dead in the highstorm, presumed dead in the chasms, presumed dead in Kholinar... that is going to be really interesting.

I cant wait for kaladin to come back to life for like the 4th time and everyone will be so suprised and everything but then lopens dumbass will turn the corner see him and immediately spout off about how much stuff he missed and how him and his quadrouple extended family of like 6 million cousins "knew he was alive" becuase of the power of chouta or something stupid.

Hey hey, as a librarian, can I just say don’t pace yourself at the library. I get a lot of customers saying “oh I shouldn’t get too many books out at once” but like you should!!!! Max out your card, take everything we have on a subject you’re interested in, make a book fort in your home. We love that shit! It doesn’t matter if you read them or not; just take them for an adventure and bring them back whenever they’re due!

For public libraries, one of the ways we secure funding year to year is lending. Governments don’t want to fund more books if they’re not being used and the way we measure use is by issues. Regardless of whether you read it or not, whether you have it for a day or a month, if you issue it to your library card, we get the stats! It makes the library look good!

Help your local library; get books out even if you know you can’t read them all!
