I am always fascinated by people who pay for a whole beach vacation only to not swim at all and instead just sit there. maybe they'll sip on a cocktail or read a book and that's it. like do the depths just not call to you at all what's the deal
I was horrified to learn that there's like an entire genre of really boring straight women who complain that their Childish Boyfriends want to build sandcastles when they came to the beach to ~relax and de-stress~ like ok girl I'll build sandcastles with your boyfriend. I'll dive for cool rocks he can use to decorate his sand empire. I'll ruin your relationship. fuck you.

Notes for those who don’t play FR:
This is a comic based on Flight Rising’s Pearlcatcher dragons. These dragons have one or two horns based on their sex. The have large pearls that they routinely grow with a black mucus. Each layer of a Pearlcatcher’s pearl is imbued with memories and the essence of who they are, it is a manifestation of their soul.
Dragons without a tertiary gene can’t see the color of it. This dragon has no tertiary gene, so doesn’t know the color.
A Tri-Color Scatterscroll is an item that randomizes all three of a dragons colors. This dragon is insecure with his colors and wants to change them, but is told he is too young, since scattering colors is irreversible. (And frankly, a bit expensive.)
In the last panel, both dragons develop their tertiary gene, which is Wish. Usually you buy gene scrolls at the marketplace, but I made it so their wishes came true and the gene developed, showcasing their formerly hidden tertiary colors.

a lot of people say that the random palettes people post on the internet look aesthetically pleasing on their own but are utterly unusable for drawing. and this is completely true however I still keep a folder on my computer with like a william 5 color gradient palette pngs in it for the purpose of skimming through them and yoinking a couple individual colors that speak to me from each one, eventually frankensteining them all together into something that looks semi-decent. I still don't understand color theory or really have any idea what I'm doing but I've been getting a lot of compliments on my use of color since I started applying this highly sophisticated method so I'll count it as a win
I also really love going onto the w3schools html named colors list and picking stuff from there. the dark blues are atrocious but I think it's a fun way of limiting your color choice

the thing about web design is that you can't have too much shit on the screen or people will get scared but you also can't have too little shit on the screen or people will get bored. it's all about finding the optimal amount of shit to put on each individual page of your website. a delicate balancing act
