She's also publicly stated that she believes that anyone who reads her books or watches her shows and films does so because they explicitly agree with her political views.

There's no "agree to disagree" with her work. Every time you pick up her work or talk about it you are saying to her "I agree with you Joanne" whether you like it or not.

Daily fucking reminder that Luigi Mangione is innocent, completely and fully. He has been convicted of no crime. He has had no fair trial. He is a SUSPECT. Luigi Mangione is entirely innocent and everyone needs to stop parroting this insidious propaganda that he “committed” the crime he is only SUSPECTED of. He is not a murderer. He is not a criminal. He is an innocent man.

Put this out about Luigi Mangione.

You might find something like this on your property or along public forest trails. It’s about the same size and shape as a ketchup packet and smells like rotten fish. Believe it or not, this little packet protects you, your pets, and your family. The USDA drops these in areas (including Hamilton County) where raccoon-variant rabies has been known to occur. Raccoons find the packet and eat the contents, and it provides them with immunity to rabies. If you find one, simply leave it where it is, or, if it’s in an area accessible to a pet or child, just put on a pair of gloves and move it. Don’t worry, though— even if it was handled by a human or pet, it doesn’t pose any danger besides an unpleasant odor.

i do think there should be more stories and shows and stuff about guys falling in love with butch women actually, i think that’d be a good thing. and not ‘this is as butch as twitter can handle’, i mean butch as can fucking be without apology, and making those boys weak in the knees about it. i think it’s great actually to have f/m romances that exist to break gender norms, too. i think it sucks that the only mainstream het romances that exist are either about women who are already feminine or with women who are just a little too scarily masculine and have to be fixed into being girlier. that’s shit.

This is how any corporation functions. First, increasing profits is done by attracting more customers. Then, once they have all the customers they're going to get, increasing profits is done by increasing prices or cutting costs.

me at any given time: can we just buckle down and focus on the task at hand please???

seeing people on this site getting horny over robots is pretty funny as someone with a degree in them. half of yall are gonna lose fingers (or worse) to pinch points once the first consumer-grade android models roll out in a few decades. you know the memes about how closing the cybertruck's trunk can cut off your finger? imagine that but with an elbow joint. your cybergf is slurping your shit crazy style when she gets a forced firmware update that zeroes all of her servos including the ones controlling her teeth. and none of this shit will be covered under warranty. fuck a safe word, you'll need an e-stop button

everyone in the notes saying "umm the risk is part of the appeal": if you can't even have basic respect for the level of damage machines can accidentally inflict on you and instead get horny over it, androids would view you similar to the way trans women view chasers. you're not even concerned with the trauma accidentally cutting off your finger/dick would inflict on them. all you care about is you

you walk up to a robogirl at a bar and fumble your way through a pickup line about wanting to get caught in her pinch points and she tilts her head a little and waits before saying anything and you think she didn't hear you but she was actually taking a picture of your face, overlaying this over it, and sending it to her group chat with all the other robogirls in your city

holy fuck it's been so long since I even thought about that show

why didn't they just leave pompeii when the volcano erupted? were they stupid?

Fun fact: they did leave Pompeii! It's estimated that the population pre-eruption was something like 20,000, and the most likely number of dead in is in the range of 1,500-4,000. So most people just did leave Pompeii, it's just that not everyone left or could leave.

I'd have still left. the human body is capable of wonderful things in the face of danger

A lot of people died in the boats tho:/

I would have paddled away quickly

I take pretty hot baths so I think I'd be able to last a little longer than the average person

The scariest thing about pyroclastic flow is that if you can see it, no matter how far away it is, there is no possible way of surviving

I've done incredible things. I think you'd be surprised.

I know a lot about the volcano. they could learn much from me.

you should teach them

I will.

everyone who has ever died from anything is an idiot. I wouldn't have done that.

perhaps this could be chalked up to poor diet? I don't think explosions alone can do that.

their brains became AEROSOLS IN THEIR SKULLS.

what?? no

correction, some of their brain cells turned to glass, unless you want to bitch about the Smithsonian's knowledge base. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/mount-vesuvius-turned-mans-brain-cells-glass-180976073/

that just doesn't sound correct. they should verify this information

How about if instead of encouraging them we instead CHALLENGE them to survive a fictional catastrophe

Like there's no way this bozo is surviving the fires of ibis

not only could I survive that, but I could do it a second time

I mean they were pretty stupid for staying at a volcano during an eruption. the volcano is the most dangerous place to be, in that sort of scenario

What you seem to not understand is that when volcanoes erupt the way Mount Vesuvius did, your survival is dependant on whether or not you're close enough to a ship when it happens. It doesn't matter how smart you are, your IQ cannot outrun a catastrophic volcanic eruption. If you're going to criticize them for anything, it should be their decision to settle near an active volcano in the first place.

as was previously established, my large IQ can outrun many things, so I do not imagine a volcano would be that much more difficult
