If you're new to my blog, this is what I believe. You're more than welcome here, regardless of what you believe, but I want you to know what kind of blog you're on. I talk about fandom stuff, and other random stuff, but this is the core of who I am, so I post a lot about that.

Someone asked me if I think a Christian can be gay. My answer? Yeah.

The thing is though, a Christian won’t celebrate that. A Christian won’t commit to that lifestyle. A Christian will actively give their life over to God and allow Him to dictate what is right and wrong.

We tend to make alot of bad choices that lead to a lot of defending sin. We tend to let society dictate what is moral and we have seen how twisted its idea of morality is. Instead of speaking over God, let’s let Him speak over us.

So can a Christian be gay? I suppose. But they certainly won’t wear it as a badge of honor.

A Christian can be an alcoholic. A Christian can have a violent temper. A Christian can have a porn addiction. A Christian can be a habitual liar.

The difference is that the Christian knows those things, that they may have been "born with", need to be put to death and they need to be re-born.

Jesus knew about all the "born this way" temples we would hide in and He had the "You must be born again" sledgehammer ready.

Me: Well, be bold and confident about it for like TWENTY minutes!

Anyway, the woman saw that the apple was good.

Sin has always been choosing the wrong good.

That's why people miss the point when they say "Well, X can't be a sin, because it's good in these ways!" And they similarily miss the point when they say that "X can't be good, because (excess or misuse of X) is a sin!"

You may eat of any tree in the garden except for that of sin. If you eat of it, you will die.

Rest is good. Sloth will kill you. Food and drink is good. Gluttony will kill you. Money is good. Avarice will kill you. Love is good. Lust will kill you. Justice is good. Wrath will kill you. And so on.

Everything can become an addiction, but the fault is not in everything. The fault is in our hearts. We love wrongly.
