Had a whole lot of nothing on my mind, so I decided to restore one of my favorite frames of Mew Ichigo from episode 12. The original scene was faded in to the point that brightening it up made it really blurry with a lot of pixilation. So it was really hard to see a lot of the details. Basically, I traced over as much of it that I could see and then colored it in.
Here is the mini live performance that Smewthie did a couple weeks ago, March 9th 2025, during the 2nd day of the P's Live event.

It's March 14, which means it's that time of year again: E.M.U Posting Day!!
So here is the home video release of one of E.M.U's concerts from their Equal Live Tour, which was held at the Nippon Seinenkan Convention Center on January 15th, 1997.

Also, please look forward to the very first "Summer Spinoff Special" post that has a connection to this franchise that I'll post... well, this summer XD.
I've been meaning to get the scans of the Tokyo Mew Mew New Blu-rays done for a while now. However, cleaning the front and back cover of the booklets was too big of a hurdle. Due to the gradient coloring and the patterns, it was pretty much impossible for me to remove the creases. So I would like to give a big shoutout to @wotcherangie for doing that for me. I wouldn't have been able to finish cleaning these scans without her. Be sure to check out her blog and all of her great artwork X3.
You can download the scans for the 1st Blu-ray HERE.
The rest of them will be done soon!
Thunderbolt Fantasy Episode 4x01, "Homecoming", released by Shaobing Subs
Available with English subtitles here.
For those disappointed that Crunchyroll isn't streaming season 4 of Thunderbolt Fantasy, some really nice fans are dedicating their time and effort into subbing it! The first 2 episodes are already up. Be sure to give it a watch X3.
Blue Knight and Deep Blue make up the final pair of this palette swap side-project!
The most notable changes between these two, and the hardest thing for me to color in, was their hair. The Blue Knight was given a different colored outline for his hair compared to the rest of his design in New. Deep Blue didn't have highlights in the 2002 anime but had them in New, so I had to add those into the 2002 anime frames from scratch.
Overall, it was a fun little project. Although, out of all of the comparisons, I feel that Aoyama's and Blue Knight's were the most fair since the frames I used for both of their comparisons came from episodes Satoshi Ishino animation directed in the 2002 series and New. Wish that was possible to do for all the characters but with him directing 5 episodes of the 2002 series and only 2 in New, there weren't many options. It is what it is, I guess XD.
Thanks to Masha's simple design, I was able to finish the palette swaps for him and Tart a lot sooner than expected. Other than the heart shape on Masha's tail, once again, the main differences between both characters is lower color saturation.
The last pair of palette swaps will be the Blue Knight and Deep Blue. Those will take a bit longer due to them having so much hair XD.
I can't believe it's been over a year since I last finished one of these. I guess time does go by faster as you get older, especially when a lot of real-life stuff comes at you all at once XD.
Anyways, here are the palette swaps for Quiche and Pie. Not too much was changed, mainly just less saturation in the colors for TMMN.
Tart and Masha are next. I have some space in my schedule. So I'm hoping to finish all of the main characters either by the end of this month or early October.

It's that time of year again... MARCH 14th! Which means it's time for another E.M.U / Sotsugyou M post!
So here is the E.M.U - MVP promo video. It's basically a 30 minute compilation video showing some behind the scenes footage of band rehearsal and photoshoots with the voice actors as E.M.U, with some pics of their Sotsugyou M character counterparts talking about their likes and dislikes, along with 2 cheaply animated music videos... Dang, I miss the 90s XD. This VHS also came with a small character bio booklet, which I've also scanned.
You can download it all HERE.
If you want to download all of the past E.M.U / Sotsugyou M stuff that I've posted so far, which includes all of their songs and their first live concert, you can find all of my posts concerning them HERE.
Congratulations to Tokyo Mew Mew Italian Fans!!
Tokyo Mew Mew New is getting an Italian DUb
ITALIAN CAST PREVIEW Giulia Maniglio is Ichigo Momomiya Dubbing director: Deborah Magnaghi The series will soon also be available with Italian dubbing exclusively on ANiME GENERATION, Amazon Prime Video's thematic channel, where you can already find the original version with subtitles.
For those who don't know the Italian dubbing director for New, Deborah Magnaghi, voiced Ichigo/Strawberry in the Italian dub of the 2002 series.
While searching around, I recently came upon a Youtube channel that featured promo videos and a podcast that has some really interesting stuff involving the behind the scenes of working at 4Kids. There were also some interesting tidbits from some of the comments too.
For example, thanks to the comments, I've found out that Mollie Weaver (Renee in Mew Mew Power) is now part of an indie band called MIHI NIHIL, where she goes under the name Mihi Vox.
This channel seems to have gone under the radar when it definitely needs some more recognition.
