Ibtisam Al-Habil is a single mother of 6 children who is facing multiple crises. In 2014, her husband was killed by the occupation during its assault. She and her oldest son Omar found work to support their family.

They were doing well until the occupation’s 2023 invasion. Their home was destroyed, along with their entire neighborhood. Ibtisam lost her job and her children lost their education. They were displaced to multiple shelters, at one point narrowly surviving an IOF bomb attack on a school.

Ibtisam’s daughter Nour suffers from Congenital Heart Disease, a serious medical condition which has left her immunocompromised, and she requires frequent hospital visits. Receiving the care Nour needs to survive has become ever more difficult, dangerous, and expensive. Further, centers are overcrowded, and the IOF’s sabotage of Gaza’s water and waste treatment systems have made them into centers of disease transmission. For Nour, this could be deadly. She is frequently sick now, compounding her prior condition.

Ibtisam’s oldest son Omar, a nurse who recently married and was expecting a baby with his wife Bashaer, was helping support the family however he could. Tragically, Omar was martyred by occupation bombing several months ago while looking for firewood. His younger brother was seriously injured in the same attack. Omar never got to meet his baby girl.

Ibtisam’s family is now completely without income, displaced, and constantly running for their lives. Nour remains ill, and finding the medical care she needs gets harder every day.

Originally Ibtisam was raising funds to evacuate her family to Egypt. This is probably still the plan for the future, but for right now, Ibtisam and her family desperately need funds to survive. Donations will be used to procure food, water, medical care, and shelter for the foreseeable future.

This family has suffered so terribly already. Please help give them a little hope for the future. Please reblog this post, boost Ibtisam’s posts on her blog, and repost the campaign link across all your social media.

Thank you

Since her birth, she has felt nothing but fear and hunger, deprived of her most basic rights. She needs food, safety, and a dignified life that every child deserves. Therefore, I appeal to you from the bottom of my heart to support her and extend a helping hand to save her. Your donation today could make a difference in saving her from certain death. Donate here

Top: in the preview image for the Bowser Jr.'s playroom field in Mario Super Sluggers, a cloud can be seen to the top right of the Bowser Jr. decoration.

Middle: however, in-game, there are no clouds at all on the walls of this field. At first this may appear to be simply a case of an outdated preview image: as often happens in development, screenshots are taken of areas in a certain stage, but then the area is changed while the screenshot is never updated, creating the discrepancy.

Bottom: the truth, however, is much more bizarre. The clouds are actually there in-game, but can only be seen if the camera is moved outside the field itself. Note how only the clouds on the near side (seen from outside) are visible, and not the far side (seen normally, from inside).

This is due to the clouds being mistakenly coded to be inside-out (in technical terms, their culling is set to "backface", which is the opposite of how most regular objects are rendered). This strange oversight results in clouds that can not be seen during regular gameplay and require clipping out of bounds to discover.

I am close friends with the Al-Habil family, whose situation I have discussed under our “#ibtisam al habil” tag. There is still a lot of concern for the youngest child Nour, who is a disabled teen about whose situation you can learn more under our “#Nour Al habil” tag.

Torrential rains have flooded the streets of Gaza and all but destroyed the family’s tent. They are inundated with freezing, extremely contaminated water, which is extremely dangerous for 15 y/o Nour.

Nour is immunocompromised due to her heart condition. These flood waters carry gangrene, cholera, and polio bacteria among numerous others, as well as many viruses and pollutants.

We were about halfway through raising the funds for the tent when Nour’s mother, Ibtisam, suffered a herniated disc after sustaining an injury while moving a barrel of water. She is in severe pain, and can barely move. This is not only miserable and unhealthy for her, it also prevents her from caring for Nour.

In addition to the ongoing $2,000 USD needed for shelter, the family now needs $300 USD (about $433 CAD) to help Ibtisam manage her pain and be able to move.

New temporary goal: $52,971 CAD

Currently: $50,804 CAD

Need to raise: $2,167 CAD (about $1,500 USD)

VERY URGENT SUPPORT NEEDED!! Teen girl in danger of organ failure!!!!

An unknown individual hacked the family’s bank account and stole $1000 about to be used for Nour’s treatment!!

Nour needs to receive this treatment IMMEDIATELY!!!! The treatment costs $800 USD, about $1,142 CAD. We need to raise this money URGENTLY or young Nour could go into HEART FAILURE!!

PLEASE donate what you can, and share the family’s campaign as widely as possible!! Copy and paste this link across all your social media platforms and ask your followers and friends for support!! LINK: https://www.gofundme.com/f/4qzqg-help-a-family-from-gaza

Currently: $56,240 CAD

New temporary goal: $57,382 CAD

Need to raise: about $1,142 CAD or $800 USD

Progress: $60 out of $1,142 CAD, or about $42 out of $800 USD

Thank you to our anonymous donor for your support! Please continue to share this post and donate anything you can, even $10 CAD (about $7 USD) helps!!!

Progress: $110 out of $1,142 CAD, or about $77 out of $800 USD—just under 10% of our goal

Thank you so much to another anonymous donor!!

PLEASE keep sharing!! Nour desperately needs you, this is a matter of life or death!!!

🇵🇸 save family lost their home ,dreams and everything in Gaza 🇵🇸

This is my home before the war and after the war how it became💔💔💔

Before: After:

We have been through many wars before, but this war was not like the ones before it. Our lives were turned upside down. We became displaced from one place to another. We are the Anas family, residents of northern Gaza, specifically in the Shujaiya area. In the first week of the war, we fled our home because everyone considered our home to be in a dangerous area. We moved to the Rimal area, specifically in the middle of Gaza. There, we received the news that our home, which contained all our beautiful memories, was bombed. Suddenly, it was gone!!! Just thinking that your home, which you worked hard on and built from scratch and took a lot of your life, was gone in less than a second ! After a while, we left the sands to the Al-Zawaida area because of the heavy shelling. We stayed there for about two weeks, and then the terrorist army asked us to go to Rafah. We actually fled for the fourth time to Rafah and stayed there for two months, some of the most difficult days of our lives, as there was no way or means to live a normal life. 😔😔 After that, because of the invasion of Rafah, we moved to Deir al-Balah. Now, we are in very difficult and oppressive circumstances.

We are asking you with all shame to support and stand by us in these difficult circumstances that everyone knows because we lost our home, our work and any stable source of income. Thank you all.
