Judging by the way the press tour is going, it looks like you’re right. They’re being intentional about who they put at the forefront of the promo.

The moment they started putting so many different promo posters out let me know they were about to start centering Hailee in varying markets. The thinking is probably to appeal to a large white audience based on her connection to the Spiderverse franchise and just white people being centered anyway.

The promo appearance placement in my opinion should always have Michael in the middle and both Wunmi and Hailee flanking him since they each play a twin's love interest. As they travel to other countries I expect to see more of this white woman centering occurring. Wunmi Mosaku will be shuffled to the side away from Michael, and Hailee pushed front and center. They already did a Hot Ones segment with Michael and Hailee only, so the writing is on the wall.

Hailee is mainly centered in group photos, panel seating arrangements, and on pop culture media segments with Michael. Meanwhile, Wunmi is looking like the help shuttled to the side with barely any public photos of her with Michael standing or seated next to her. He's always right next to Hailee. You mean to tell me a fictional white vampire is more important than a Black Hoodoo practitioner based on real Black American culture (that Ryan had a consultant for to make sure of the accuracy) in getting equal face time with the Black male star? Tuh! No ma'am.

When shit like that is very obvious, it doesn't bode well with me. The thin white woman should not be over-hyped and overshadowing the thick sista with the acting chops.
