a random compilation of snippets from my torturous weekend on training because im too tired and in pain to do a proper post but i feel the need to post
me at 4:30 am (in dread)
the whole journey was freezing the ground was solid
my team finding out that the huge lump on the horizon is in fact our next checkpoint
me pulling myself out of the shoulder high bog but getting soaked cos i fell in (multiple times in multiple bogs)
not me climbing over barbed wire 'protected' by my map- my map is now punctured and i acquired some wounds.
we got to the end at sunset which was beautiful but eating in the dark and having some other stuff go wrong is bad. also it was -7 degrees and my wet boots got frozen.
me the whole of today after waking up at 5:30 packing a frozen tent and walking another day in pain misery and extreme exhaustion- plus another ten kilometres of bog alone
me after we ran the last leg of the journey wondering where the car park was - with bleeding hips and feet which were COVEREd in blisters.

I am so glad that I was paired up with you for this event. From the very start, I absolutely fell in love with Thea! I really enjoy all of her lore. It was a blast to pose questions and get to know her even better. Truly, I can't wait for you to post more drawings, information, and fanfiction! I absolutely adore your art style - it's quite unique.
Thea and Garreth being childhood friends is such a great concept, and I hope you explore that further! I'd love to read more about their pre-Hogwarts adventures, their friendship in general, and how they eventually go into business together. I don't mean to pressure you in any way, but have you ever considered writing about Thea from Garreth's perspective? I could see it being very cute and covering various stages of their lives - Garreth and Thea getting into "trouble" as kids, Garreth sadly saying goodbye to his bestie as he leaves for Hogwarts (since she doesn't get to go until fifth year), witnessing Thea's magic finally manifest over a school break, helping her acclimate to Hogwarts, watching her interact with Sebastian and realizing they like each other, maybe Garreth warning Sebastian to treat her right like the protective brotherly friend I think he would be, their various potions experiments, graduation, setting up shop together, maybe even being a guest at her wedding to Sebastian (if they end up together!), being named godfather to Thea and Seb's child, etc. Again, no pressure at all, but I was thinking about it and got a little carried away. It would be such a sweet friendship story! π₯Ή
This event wouldn't be a Valentine's Day extravaganza without a gift! I made a moodboard for Thea based on the things you've posted about her. I hope I captured her essence correctly! π

- What potion is the most challenging for her to make? How long did it take her to master it?

Thea, like Garreth is very experimental with potions, since they basically developed the hobby together, and so has her fair share of disasters. however, she does improve enough by the time she graduates to become a potioneer.
her most challenging potion was one that she invented. it was to ease anne's curse pain while she was ill, and took a lot of labour and the ingredients were sparse. it did not cure anne, only eased her pain, which was better than nothing. it took thea the best part of about eight months to refine, and cost her a few trips to the hospital wing when she tried it out on herself - to check if it worked she did once cast crucio on herself. :( that method was not repeated!
her fav potion to make is wiggenweld- its quick and easy and extremely helpful whenever she is out on adventures - also in sixth year she starts to sell it for a small fee- the very beginnings of her mini business.
her least favourite potion to make is probably felix felicis. she spends ages making every measurement is precise enough- she doesnt want to end like she did after she took one of garreth's first felix felicis attempts- with very BAD luck and algae coloured hair.
of course she does have many potion fails, both throughout her childhood and her hogwarts years, though they are less frequent as she refines her skills. one of her childhood fails was when she and garreth were brewing in their shared cellar (which was more of a storage room that no one went in) and their cauldron exploded, potion went everywhere. they both ended up with a lot less hair- garreth had his eyebrows singed and thea lost one of her plaits. the acidic potion also dissolved a portrait and parr of the floor(which neither of their parents ever found out about) and they both had constant hiccups and clucked like chickens for a week.
thea smells sebastian in her amortentia- fire smoke from confringo and well as jelly beans because he always has rhem on him(omg after the whole ignorant rhing he literally goes and eats jelly beans like wOt u pathtic little man) she also smells honeysuckle flowers because her cottage where her family is if covered in it.
people who are in love with thea would smell her rose perfume and raspberry cake- which in sixrh year became her favoueite food and she took it with her everywhere.
no, she does not mind professor sharp- at the beginning of the year she is a bit scared of him but slowly warms up to him a bit. as her potion skills improve he thinks of her as one of his best students so Thea thinks hes okay for that and putting up with her and garreth, but is still secretly a little terrified of him. she doesn't really have much of an opinion.
Thea wouldn't ask someone else to steal for her, shed just steal them herself, though she rarely needs to because she collects most ingredients on her travels. but she would definatelt sneak around the school at night and steal a few things here and rhere is she needs to- but shed pay them back at some point.
yes, thea would think about going into healing, she wants to heal others like anne, and loves helping people. however she ends up going into potionewring so she makes potions to bwnefit people anyway. seb aso thinks shed make a great auror- thea doesnt want to because she doesnt really want to relive all the trauma from fifth year, but if there was another crisis where she was needed she wouldnt hesitate to help because she doesnt want people to suffer and underatands the importance of justice.
yes, she is very good at gardening, but her cooking and baking skills are pretty dismal- from an early age she developed the habit of potion experimentation and so is experimental in her cooking but it doesnt really work out for her, even when she gets better at cooking. she has only ever helped poppy make perfumes and not really helped.

I donβt really know what made me choose a unicorn for Thea. A while back when I was still thinking through plot I had a thought that Theaβs family crest (on her motherβs side) would have a unicorn on it and that was kind of because her family was going to live near the only known unicorn herd (at the time when they were given the crest). That plot line never came into fruition, however I did think that the unicorn gave Thea vibes to me, and also since unicorns as supposed to have heal powers it would make a bit of sense if Thea was good at healing/ helps Anne when she is ill.
So, my Sebastian does not have a matching patronus. His patronus is a thestral in my brain, so itβs not matching but they both have like a mythical creature theme going on.

Dorothea rolled over, sighing with annoyance. What was that dratted noise? Her hair a tangled mess, she slumped out of bed, scanning the room for the source of her aggravation. Her roommates were still peacefully snuggled in their duvets, not a single noise emitted from their alarm clocks. In fact, the sound that had been interrupting her dreams since dawn wasn't the telltale ringing of what awoke her most mornings.
A rattle resonated from the window, and she tripped on the hem of her nightgown in her haste to silence it. Peeking underneath the red curtains, she was met with the sight of four little birds fluttering in the early morning sun. Accompanying them was an owl, a school owl with bedraggled looking feathers.
'wha-' she started, opening the window to let the owl in, and it flew directly to Natty's bedside. Before she could shut the window, the birds shot in, landing lightly on her shoulders.
She peered at them closely, holding her hand out for one of them to hop gently on to. They were unlike any birds they had ever seen before, with pink tinted feathers, and a small rosy heart above their tiny beaks. A small smile grew on her lips as the bird started at her curiously, singing a few delicate notes as she giggled.
A groan came from the other side of the room, followed by a grumpy 'Thea, whatever those are, get them out, I'm trying to sleep!'
She rolled her eyes in response, but nevertheless grabbing her cardigan and exiting the dormitory as quietly as she could manage.
Once out of the Common Room and into the corridors, the birds sang freely, pretty harmonies weaving themselves into the tune of her favourite song. She smile to herself, a subtle blush blooming on her cheeks. It wasn't busy at this time, after all, it was a Saturday, and the few that were up, were too fussed about their own plans and appearances to pay her much mind.
'Are you sure I look alright? Do you think he'll like my hair?'
A gaggle of girls poured over letters in groups, swooning when they reached the bewitching words that swirled on the parchment, there were even a few couples laughing tenderly as they walked hand-in-hand downstairs and out into the gardens, no doubt on their ways to Hogsmeade.
Valentine's Day had always been a day that Thea neither liked nor disliked. Although not celebrating the occasion herself, she had always enjoyed seeing people happy and in love. It made her fall in love with the idea of love, what's more, the romantic air was enough to make her content.
The little birds led her down winding corridors, and Thea began to grow sceptical of their intentions. Where was she going? She shook her head at herself, anyone who saw her would think her foolish, blindly trailing after some birds down corridors she had scarcely been through.
Nevertheless she continued in her haze of wonder until her path was obstructed by a door. It opened a little and as she peered through the crack and began to walk in, the pink mist that had obstructed her view into the room dissolved around her.
A hand grabbed hers, swirling her around with a familiar chuckle. She let out a happy squeal as she was steadied by the strong, comforting arms that she often snuggled in.
Sebastianβs.
A glimmer of delight shone in his hazel eyes as she looked up at him, giggling.
βHi.β
A second of excited silence was broken as Sebastian leant down to press his lips against Theaβs.
βHappy Valentineβs Day, love. I, um, wanted to do something special for you, to, er, to make our first Valentineβs Day together memorable.β
Sebastian wasnβt often shy around Thea. After dating for a few months now, and close friends for even longer, since the beginning of fifth year actually, they had abandoned awkward feelings and quiet exteriors, at least when together. She had known him long enough now to realise that he only got shy when he was unsure about something, although it did take time to notice. Sebastian rarely showed his softer side to the rest of Hogwarts, putting on a rebellious sort of show.
βThank you. Itβs wonderful. Youβre so sweet.β
A bird chirped as it sped past them.
βAnd who, may I ask, are these cuties.β
A smirk formed on Sebastianβs lips as he chuckled at her playfulness.
βOh, I forgot about thoseβ he chuckled , β theyβre lovebirds. Took me ages to get the charm right. Ominis did help me find the original spell, but it needed a bit of altering to get them perfect. Perfect for a perfect girl.β
She nestled into his chest again, murmuring βI love you so muchβ just loud enough for him to hear. He placed his calloused hands on her shoulders, steering her farther into the room. Sunlight bathed them in golden light as they crossed through some kind of boundary into a meadow.
No one was there except them. And a few rabbits nibbling on grass stems and butterflies floating through the clear air. Their own little paradise.
Thea let out a gasp as her eyes fell on a red and white checkered picnic blanket, and on it a beautifully decorated cake.
She looked back at Sebastian and between the cake and him and few times, her smile growing until her one dimple popped out of her left cheek.
βGo on then.β
She tumbled onto her back, laughing blissfully before sitting back upright, a strand of hair over her face. She blew it out of her eyes and looked over at Sebastian, who was settling opposite her.
βDonβt tell me-β
βI did. Maybe if I continue itβll become a tradition and when weβre old and grey Iβll write down the perfect recipe to pass down for generations to come.β
He laughed a little before reaching for the cake knife to cut Thea and himself a slice from the homemade cake. It was the same cake he had baked for Dorothea on their very first date, with the very same raspberry flavouring, although this time the piped icing border was neater due to practice.
βWait!β Thea said, Sebastian looking up at her immediately, concern in his eyes.
βDonβt worry, itβs nothing bad, quite the opposite. I really appreciate all of this, itβs a literal dream come true and I am so happy to be spending today with you. I just wanted to give you something before I forget again. Itβs nothing much, but I thought-β
Sebastianβs warm hand rested on top of her own cold one, warmth spreading across her skin.
βIβll love it either way, Thea, I love you.β
A small blush spread on her cheeks as she reached into her pocket. She had been carrying his gift everywhere with her, even in her pyjamas, for fear that if it wasnβt on her person, sheβd lose it.
In her palm was a tiny silver unicorn.
βEr, itβs to keep you safe, yβknow, because itβs my patronus. You can carry it with you if you like. I have a chain somewhere in here.β
She fumbled in her pocket, drawing out a thin chain.
βI thought maybe you could put it round your wrist or neck, but if thatβs too, well, not manly enough, you can put it on your pocket watch or cuff links. At least thatβs what the lady at the shop told me.β
He smiled fondly at her, taking the chain and charm from her hands.
He looped it around his neck, fiddling with the clasp until it could hang on display around his throat.
βWhy would I not wear it like this? Itβs beautiful, and I feel blessed to have it. I donβt care about it βnot bejng manly enoughβ, I donβt think so. Itβs a token of your love and I will wear it proudly until the day I die. Iβd like to show it off for everyone to see.β
βReally?β Thea chuckled, taking a large mouthful of the cake.
βReally. Happy Valentineβs day, darling. Iβm so glad I found you.β

Secondly, i am studying it in class because i have my coursework on it, however i absolutely adore literature and writing so it is very much for enjoyment as well (though the work i have to do on the text is a little less enjoyable, but i think it is really interesting to analyse it to understand it better). Wow! That is a lot of times, true commitment! Iβm totally up for chatting about it. My household is constantly full of discussion of literature so i am very happy to chat abt it becuase i enjoy it very much.
