blog announcement.

whilst i'm still on a break, i'm also moving blogs in hopes for a fresh start and a clean slate for my writing too. so, if you would like to continue to read my works and interact with me, i shall now be found at @thexianzhoujade where i write for both hsr and gi.

my initial thought was to repost all of my works there but i decided otherwise since there's quite a lot. if any, i might eventually rewrite all of them. because of this, https-furina will merely sit as an idle archive for the foreseeable future. all of my works shall stay published and available to read at any point but i will most likely not log back into this account for a while - hence, if you want to interact with me and continue reading, i advise you follow my new blog.

thank you for the support that https-furina has received over this almost past year that it's been working as a genshin blog however due to numerous reasons, i feel more comfortable with moving blogs and creating a fresh start.

esteemed guests of the luofo, the general is away right now so i'll be the one to listen to your concerns; i find myself involved in both the cosmos (hsr) and out-of-realm (gi) experiences so you can discern me as capable hands in light of the general's absence.

oh, me? jing yuan can never find the time to properly introduce me, huh. my name is kai and i run the internal affairs of the xianzhou jade; also known as jing yuan's personal affiliated library. my husband loves long titles, have you ever listened to the name of the power he yields so proudly? ask him to say it before you go to bed, it'll have put you to sleep by the time he's done.

the xianzhou jade is an elaborate collection of data and writing so the general and i understand that it's a little confusing. please see the jade's guidelines and our tome of terminology to ease your mind about navigating our shelves.

please, feel free to take your time within our beloved space. you've done so much for not only the luofo but the alliance with your feats, we are forever indebted.

following numerous things that have happened today both in real life and online and also numerous hate anons, i’m taking an official break from all social media.

in regards to tumblr, this means i simply won’t be talking or posting (like i am now) and all i’ll do is post fics as i finish them. interaction will be sparse and i probably won’t check my notifications. i’ll only be here to post my writing.

mutuals, i’ll check in occasionally on discord and for ecrin, i’ll do the daily ping + wednesday and saturday pings as usual.

i realised i have a lot going on and despite my wishes for 2024 being that i become the best version of myself for others, i seem to be lacking severely so i’m putting myself first and working on everything in reality without the interruption of everything online, which only makes it worse.

oh, my final note before the radio silence; my nation masterlists had a makeover. enjoy.

Also applies to editing. I was recently talking to another writer whose editor (at a publisher) almost destroyed her desire to keep writing. Writers, know the signs of a shitty editor versus one who actually wants to help you achieve your vision, and don’t be afraid to ask for a different one. (Or fire a bad one if you’re indy.)

And this is also the crux of don’t comment with critique on fanfiction unless asked for. Because you do not know what the writer wants out of their writing, and you do not want to kill people’s motivation to write.
