W. E. A. Y [Ch. 4]
“This is really fucking dumb”
Jia shoots you a glare that makes you tuck your tail between your legs, “Who got us here, y/nnie?”
You sigh as you take the opportunity to look around your surroundings. You, your members, and your staff all stand on one side of the rather large field that has games sprawled out around the edges.
Stray Kids and their staff are on the other side, playing around with each other, a stark difference between the moodiness that surrounds you and your people.
“Did we really have to do this at 7 AM?” Kye yawns, “Y/nnie what did you say at that meeting?”
“Nothing” you defend, “Nothing….rude?”
“I’m sure you weren’t rude” Goo nods, “But what happened? Was there an argument?”
It was your turn to nod, your ears heating up as you admit it.
Lilly sighs but shrugs, “Hey, we’re already here. Might as well try to have fun”
Before you know it, Chan and Felix stroll over to your group. Felix smiles while Chan looks rather tired.
Felix is immediately polite, “Hey guys”
Your members all greet them excitedly, which nearly makes you roll your eyes but you stop yourself.
You wanted to ignore them, but you chose to be mature, “Good morning, how are you?”
Your words seem to surprise Chan for a second, “We’re pretty good. Thank you. We just came over here to tell you that we’ll start shooting in five minutes”
“And” Felix smirks, “Dispatch is hiding somewhere around here. It’ll be good to get some shots of us interacting”
“Look at you being a pro idol” You joke before you could stop yourself. Felix and Chan laugh instantly, and a small smile appears on your face.
“Let's try to have fun guys” Goo announces, “The games seem cool from what I can see”
You guys are filming content for Skz Code, doing a relay race of games, including an egg and spoon race and biseokchigi.
The shoot starts promptly, Felix joins your team so there could be an even number of players, and the games begin.
Admittedly, you’re having fun as you race against the clock to finish your tasks. You started to see why people compared you and Skz. Despite both your music being defined as experimental, you could see both groups had a niche for competitive competitions.
Sometimes Greenlite was in the lead, sometimes Skz, and you were more than excited to know you were chosen to complete the last game; bobbing for apples.
You were up against Changbin, you were both tasked with grabbing seven apples, running to a basket a couple feet away, dropping them, then repeating.
That’s all that was in the air. The last interaction between you two obviously left a sour taste in both your mouths. Changbin was set on winning the game; but so were you.
Felix stood between you two, a bright smile painting his face, but the nervousness was apparent.
You looked to your opponent
You swore you saw him roll his eyes, and rage instantly filled your chest.
You thought you guys were having a good day. Everyone seemed to get along. He really decides to be an asshole at this moment?
