If you have a plot bunny or stray fic scene stuck in your head that won't go away-

but you don't have the energy or inspiration to flesh it out into a full fic (yet, or potentially ever)-

I highly, HIGHLY recommend boiling it down into nothing but the absolute essential elements of the idea, writing it as a drabble (exactly 100 words) or a ficlet (generally under 1000 words) and posting it like that.

This will accomplish one of two things:

Either it will get it out of your head enough that you can stop thinking about it, or starting writing it and the reaction to it will give you the burst of energy or inspiration to flesh it out.

Writing be like:

"Would he say that? I don't think he would say that... but I need him to... maybe i could rephrase it?"

"What season is it?"

"Wait, are they friends yet? I don't think they're friends yet. REWRITE!"

"What time is it?"

"How would they react to this situation?"

"Was that conversation long enough? Was it THEM enough? Idk..."

"What season is it?!"

"Is she too man-writting-a-women?"

"Wait... he's been in the room the whole time... I forgor..."

"Time lines... what's the TIME LINE!"

"This word was used THREE Times in this paragraph. THESAURUS!!"

"Oh shoot... I forgot to introduce her. She just kinda.... Appears... huh..."

"What SEASON is it!!"

"Is he too women-writing-a-man?"

"What TIME is it?!"

"Am i contradicting myself? Did I change something slighty? Idk time to REREAD ALL OF IT."

"WHAT IS THE TIMELINE."

Becoming a writer is great because now you have a hobby that haunts you whenever you don’t have time to do it
