So I just finished The Residence on Netflix, and it was quite good! I loved it, I would looooooovvvvveeeee it if the character (Cordelia Cupp) got another adventure!
A black female detective who loves birds and a great sense of dry humor along with a grudging secondhand detective from the FBI makes the show so enjoyable. A great cozy mystery with a diverse cast makes for great watching on a rainy day with a nice sweet treat!

Okay so. I have writers block for my other (other) blog where I post actual essays (for some reason) but I have been watching the Pitt and that has made me feel things. That and I have had like 2 glasses of wine
So I mostly started watching the Pitt to feel close to my sister who is premed and also lives in the titular city. But I started enjoying it. I was hesitant at first because I haven’t watched a medical drama since acquiring medical trauma
But this show does so many things so well! Various characters from different backgrounds of differing ability, age, race, and demographic? Check. Acknowledging the medical struggles of updating one’s gender? Yep. Making sure deafness is listed in the chart of a patient so they can get the care they need? Uh huh. And prioritizing finding a translator for patient that doesn’t speak English? You bet.
I can’t say that anything is or ever will be perfect but it’s encouraging to see this content and that these things are important to people in light of current events.
Anyways, Dr Mohan and Dr King are my favourites 😊

i’m loving the pitt, but sometimes i’m taken out of it when a doctor has a bit of dialogue that’s like [stares directly into the camera] here at the pitt, we don’t condone racism or unconscious bias. 😀😀
and like ultimately we ARE at a place in society where we need ryan murphy-esque subtlety (none) but i still wish those were integrated a bit more organically into the narrative fnnfnddn
