After two separate concerts, I can confirm as much as I would LOVE to be a concert-goer, I literally just have a meltdown every time.

First concert I went to was Glass Beach, my friend invited me because the friend they originally invited flaked on them. I'd only ever listened to one song by them and it was (forever??????) which is an instrumental. So I went in expecting instrumental, and came out realizing they're way more rock.

Second concert was a school field trip (today) to see the cover band First To Eleven, and I had a meltdown and shutdown simultaneously. Plus we started rapid switching due to the overstimulation so we were very very dissociated.

Verdict is that if I ever go to another concert it will be SPECIFICALLY autism friendly.

oh I also stood for 2 & 1/2 hours straight. I AM IN SO MUCH PAIN. Lets pray that I can make it to school so my mom doesn't yell at me 🙏🙏🙏

Have you ever looked closely at a car windshield?

The edge of the glass is painted where it is glued to the car but it has these small dots between the clear and painted glass.

These are there for a reason. When the sun hits the glass the painted areas and the clear areas will absorb heat at different rates. This causes the glass to expand and contract differently putting stress on the glass.

These dots help the glass to warm up more evenly over a larger area so the glass does not suffer stress that could cause it to spontaneously explode.

Fun fact: the Tesla cybertruck doesn’t have these.

Yes, the glass will spontaneously crack or explode in the sun.

[ID 1: a close up photo of the edge of a windshield. you can see the little painted black dots on the edge.

ID 2: the back window of a tesla cyber-truck with one long crack going across the glass.

ID 3: another cyber-truck window, it has a crack that webs out in multiple directions and there is a finger pointing at the start of the crack. End ID]

reblog to give your headache to elon musk instead

I’d just like to point out the growth in this post has mostly coincided with elon’s public spiral downward and I’d like to think we’re all a small part of that

bro can’t think because he’s just got a rager of a migraine 24/7

the fact i was almost diagnosed with autism at 3 years old and the only reason i wasn't is because my parents didn't want to follow through with a diagnosis makes me so angry, when i got diagnosed at 15 because i basically had to they told me to my face that i should've been diagnosed sooner and i was literally immediately sent to get government aid from my state because ive been a level 2 support needs autistic for the entire time ive been diagnosed (and probably before then as well), like gee that would've helped my parents a ton when i was growing up but i guess the public image of not having an autistic child was more important.

I try and keep all my traumatic events in the winter so I can be happy and whimsical during the summer, but I am devastated to report that the traumatic events I am experiencing this year did not get the memo and now I'm having an un-whimsical spring. If this goes on into the summer, I will explode.

Calling myself an aspd sociopath not in the "I think the diagnostic labels forced upon me are a valid and scientifically sound to describe my experience" way but in a "reclaiming a slur" kind of way
